  On the replay uni, find the horizontal mounted switches that will open when the gear pin pushes them open at zero credit position. You’ll probably find that a switch will be adjusted to be kept closed even at zero position. If the darling manual is like the jubilee manual, then the start and reset sequences are not listed, but still has lots of useful info.

  Have a Williams Darling. One of the 2 switches that must close to allow the 1000s chime to sound is broken/missing from my 1000 point relay. Couple questions. 1.   williams darling has a 14a-7883 scm in it that the gears aren't meshing properly. looking at options to have it rebuilt, or buy a replacement. found a 14a-7884, would this work? on the darling schematic it lists both motors as options. the 7883 is a 60hz, and the 7884 is a 50hz. what's the difference?

  Was it common to have two bridge rectifiers wired in parallel on a Williams EM? In my case, my Darling (s/n 178384) has two bridge rectifiers wired in parallel instead of one. The only DC coils on this game are the two jet bumpers, so it seems to be a bit excessive. The wiring and rectifiers look factory. The schematic only shows one bridge rectifier.   Never even played a Hoops! Would love to get one also. Amazing soundtrack haha It's simple but super fun. I love how the spinner shot on the left comes out of the shot up the center, and the center shot returns to your left flipper wicked fast. Locking both balls during multiball is simple but challenging. It was one of those tournament darling games I was skeptical of, but played for at least a hour the first time I found one.

  I played a Thunderbirds at a show Pinball Star graciously supported. I thought it was not nearly as good as Stern or JJP. It played alot like an EM to me. Not something I care for at all. But there are avid EM fans on this site. To each their own. If people like thunderbird, more power to them. Yeah, I'm an EM guy... Looking at the bottom end of EMs, I'd put it just before Darling so # 289. https://pinside.com/pinball/top-100/em/page/3

  Orbitor 1 da goat Orbiter has drop targets and a spinner at least. Darling? Like shoot the newton ball setup is pretty much it. It's like Williams had some contest for the most barren playfield they could come up with.

  Agreed, one of the worst ever. Scuba? I'm surprised, it's not bad, have owned my $100 one for years. Just surprised it's mentioned, as there are so many worse games out there. Darling, good god is that horrible. Big Ben, horrible. Spy Hunter, definitely up there as the worst. Baby Pac, garbage (searched for one forever, got it, hated it). I actually hated my Family Guy, couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Stern Rolling Stones, horrible. There are definitely a lot of crap games out there.

  F1 Tomcat is just vanilla fan layout This website has its Lips glued firmly to Williams pinball logo. Williams can do no wrong and by pinside and Podcaster standards is that if a Williams machine sucks they just dismiss Gottlieb as even worse. Darling/Jubilee suck hind tit.

  I successfully sanded some white translucent inserts for a replacement on Darling, but I'm wondering what the recommended procedure is for doing the same with a transparent colored insert. Is it simply a matter of going through the higher grades of abrasive and water sanding?
