Could JJP remake Williams games? Post #16 in topic

Posted over 12 years ago by unigroove – in Jersey Jack Pinball ‐ Last reply over 9 years ago

I doubt if it would make sense to remake classic B/W A-titles of which are plenty around. It would make more sense to me to do run of a prototype game like Pinball Circus on JJP hardware. Same goes for Capcom's Kingpin. Those designs are ready to go. It would keep the factory running while developing other themes (not doubting the factory will be running WoZ for quite some time).

I'm going to make one of these one day. It's a 300 mile round trip drive, but I'll do it, ask around, people who know me, know I don't mind driving, when I want to do something. Unfortunately, I'll be working tomorrow from 7 A.M. - 1 A.M. Friday morning. I can't turn down the O.T., as that money goes into my pin fund (building up for your POTC [:shhh:] ). Bill Pinball Circus coming up October 27th & 28th. More bang for your driving so to speak. LTG :)

Circus and Star Race, along with Roller Disco and Genie, all 4 use the same size lock down bar. They are 3" wider than the System 80 series pins. Can't help with price, it's too subjective to want and location (everything is higher on the west coast). Big game. That and Star Race are tied for largest pins before Hercules.

Awesome contributions. I've been away for awhile, but now it's all edited into the list. Except these... How does the interactive backglass on Jungle Lord work? Pinball Circus has a metal cockscrew the ball is travelling down at. I was wondering if a similar feature was seen on a production game. What ones about loudspeakers is a bit fuzzy to me.

That's a table on my wishlist, but that's just too large a chunk of money relative to most incomes. Didn't an AF just go for 7k recently? And they made 20,000 of those. I wish pins like circus (vertical playfield) took off. The footprint of an arcade game, with the volume of pinball. I also like the challenge of flipping a ball vertically, same reason why the gottlieb lower playfield titles are highly sought, and are making a comeback (ac/dc)

Alice in Wonderland or The Sound of Music? I'm curious.. what do you think of Circus Voltaire? It would be hard to top that game in terms of limp-wristed goodness.

I'd be happy with a multicolor display like the new one for AFM in the back of the playfield ala Circus Voltaire and really think that would be sweet. It would be much easier to see while playing than to have to look up to the middle of the backbox. Especially for video modes. Did I say enough bad things to get shit thrown at me? Lots of video mode haters here for sure!

It's very linear in its progression and more frustrating than it is fun to play.

I was talking to the guy working there and he said they've been offered 50K for it and have declined. Knocked a bunch of pins off my pin Bucket List. Cactus Canyon, Monster Bash, Safe Cracker... A whole bunch of stuff!
