Thanks for the opinions and for setting me straight on Flipper Pool. Cards, Circus/Carnival, and Cowboy themes were Gottlieb, but one other of Gottlieb's (that the Series is missing) is Pool.. If Flipper Pool came out 2 or 3 years earlier, intended or not, it very well may have been considered as the 6th and final machine of the Flipper Series..

Let's see, we have "the operator" , "Mr. BMW", "The Bus Driver", "The Wife" , "The Bartender", "The Coach", John and the best arrival, "Avi" The metal shredding apprentice. We make several scene changes between the "Shop", the "bars", the "apartment" and Sobey's. Trailer Park Boys do not hold a candle to this cast of misfits and it's live stages. If *Hope* is a plan, then plan on this game showing up, no matter what the ice cold facts of the last 5 (or more) years have shown us. Kingpin - as dead as it looks. Pinball Circus - it was never alive. Hoping there is still movement towards any finish line is just that; hope. Only a company with money, a plan, and access to a manufacturing facility will be able to move the needle in the right direction. That is not Circus Maximus.

I'm going to be posting my Circus Circus cocktail in the classifieds soon. It's the only one known to exist. Serial number is 007, so there are, (or were), presumably at least 6 others. While it isn't that exciting It is a quirky bit of pinball history. I got the machine non-working and got it working, cleaned it up, straightened plastics, new rubbers etc. It still needs some work. Lower cab is particle board and could use replacing. The top half is plywood and in good condition. Stay tuned....

I'm just going by my experience, I once took an old Bally Circus to Flint,Mich. so a friend of the buyer in California could ship from there. It made it much easier/cheaper for the buyer, but did I get a lot of serious questions from the US Border folk about "running a business in the US".

Just saw this thread for the first time. I've been an avid sys 1 & 80 collector from day 1 in this hobby starting off with Spiderman (35 years ago). I've had three Circus pins and kept the nicest one (all were pretty nice). My faves of these series are; Black Hole, Sinbad, Spiderman and Mars:GOW. Circus is a nice pin with killer artwork but being one of the ultra wide Gottliebs, I find game play to be on the slowish side. But mine will never go away. Steve

Man, this thread has tanked. Back on the subject, was anyone else surprised that the main mech basically shakes a little, even when it isn’t supposed to? I was thinking circus master in CV, rocket goes up, drop the ball into a subway, ejects from a vuk…. Or spinning disc around the rocket. Also, the left orbit seems tight, like the shot in BM66. I’m sure it will be a great game when coded.
