+1 for Beehive. I put a Stars 2.0 playfield in this winter and it is just beautifully made. Mike does a great job, and yes, one man shop, he’s totally doing this as a labor of love while holding down a full time job. Plus the guy broke his leg this winter and couldn’t get downstairs to his shop, a significant setback. If you can wait and keep in mind that Beehive is a hobbyist making quality products for other hobbyists, you’ll be rewarded for your patience.

well for better or worse, Mirco has finally released his Dragon Fist- [quoted image] @tsskinne Has also indicated that an alternate Dragonfist playfield is coming from Beehive Pinball (who did the custom Stars 2.0 playfields, some Stingray playfields, etc if you are unfamiliar). I’m gonna hold out for that.

I hadn't heard of these guys. Is there other info somewhere? 2 or 3 pages back is pics of a beehive stars 2.0, with my clear. Its completely different art, very cool, but I guess he is making the original also. I am told its a one man operation, a fella who retired. I dont know how to get a hold of him but I haven't tried google.

I’ve had this Beehive playfield hanging on the wall for close to 2 years, so it was great ... able to play the game in two completely different modes. Honestly I still play Stars primarily in Classic mode, but being able to boot up a completely different rule set ... But for now, it plays beautifully, and that’s the most important thing. Mine will eventually get the Royal treatment; Beehive pinball is eventually going to be making a short run of repro playfields (mine isn’t bad ... ?), but I greatly appreciate how totally different the two layouts are. I'll always remember the day I "got" Stars myself. It was a recent Allentown pinfest where i found a beautiful example with a perfect clearcoated playfield ... mind though. It just played so nice! I missed out on the first wave of Stars repro playfields, but I'll get one eventually. The playfield on mine is pretty bad, ... 's always surprised me that it doesn't have the following of the A-list classic Sterns. Beehive Pinball released Stars before CPR, and he still has some playfields left, last I heard. Has anybody installed one of the new playfield protectors on their stars or meteor? Do they cause stucky balls on the drops? I installed a protector on my Stars from Beehive Pinball. He included spacers to put under the drop targets to make them level with the protector. Plays great, never had any problems with it on. Now I can procrastinate fixing some of the cupped inserts.
