  I have a gorgeous original TZ, so won't be interested at all if that is what they are selling. Looking back through the possible games, Whitewater and Barracora would be the only two I can think of that would get my wallet out. Hard pass on anything Jpop.

  A little off topic but...adding an external powered sub on a system 11 is definitely worthwhile. There's a lot of bass hiding in those 90's audio tracks, really makes the pin shine. Don't keep subs to just system 11s. When I had my Barracora, I doubled the speaker with a sub and it really filled out the sound and the bass drones. Loved it.

  My Barracora had similar problems, and sometimes refused to serve new ball. The fault was in the outhole / ball trough switches. No matter how I adjusted them, the game lost track of balls. Installing new switches fixed all problems. Also check the ball lock switches. If I recall correctly, only 3 balls should be installed.

  Heard a rumour today next one could be Cosmic Gunfight..... Hmmm. Hard to tell if you are joking. That's a Williams game. Planetary most likely has the right to this, while not out of the question I highly doubt it. Haggis themselves describes the season ticket as "current Bally Classics series". Beside that, if they are going to make a System 7 game, how about Barracora or something people actually want?

  Beautiful machine. Aside from Blackout and a High Speed passing through the only Williams's I own. Blackout and Sorcerer are the keepers. Tried High Speed, Firepower, Grand Lizard, Gorgar, Space Shuttle, Cyclone.. they didn't make the cut though Space Shuttle came close. Give Barracora or Cosmic Gunfight a try.. love them both.

  Yeah, they only built around 3K Barracorra. So I think it's not to well known. Partly designed by Roger Sharp. I lucked out and got a Minty copy for $2200. One of the last games I would ever sell. Underated. 2350 production for barracora.. I waited for several years for one to pop up near me.

  My top ten favorite SS that aren't crazy money. 1. Firepower 2. Paragon 3. Baraccora 4. Black knight 5. Galaxy 6. Blackout 7. Embryon 8. Gorgar 9. Black Hole 10. Meteor Love Flash Gordon also but the prices are up. Played Barracora for the first time in a long time at a show and really had a blast. Helps it was a nice example.

  Well... me selling my Barracora within 3 hours of listing it just on pinside shows that we have not in fact reached the point of pinball market saturation. Yeah, but Barracora is an awesome game!

  Looks like in the end I'm getting a project Barracora and cash for my TNA. Thanks for the comments here guys. Paragon is more fun to look at but Barracora is more fun to play... At least I'll let you know after I get it working and play it!

  I've owned both. Barracora lasted nearly 2 years in my collection while other games came and went. Although I actually prefer classic SS Ballys, Barracora outlasted many of those titles, including Paragon. Barracora has drops like a Gottlieb, plays fast like a Williams, and has rules that rival the best Ballys of the era. Paragon is a classic for a number of reasons, but I think Barracora is the better of the two.

  I own Paragon and have had Barracora on my list for a long time and played it a bunch at shows etc. Just never had the right opportunity to grab one, I even have a nos Kruzman cleared playfield for the eventuality lol. That said, out of the two, I’d prefer to have Paragon all things being equal. One thing to consider is that Paragon is way easier to find, so eventually when you want to trade it, Barracora will open up a lot more options for you I think.

  Barracora is probably my favorite Williams system 7 game. Overall I far prefer Bally to Williams and I love Paragon - but I would trade mine for a Barracora if I had the op.   Hi, I have been lucky enough to pick up a fairly decent Barracora and am really enjoying it! I have a question, yesterday I was playing it with my son in law and at the end it seems to award the winner a timed multi ball. Is there something in the settings that allows for this to happen in single player at all? I don't have a manual and the IPDB doesn't seem to have one to download. [att=7390442,3236568 caption=""]

  This is my first big solder project with PCBs. Previous was just reflowing pins and replacing transistors. What solder iron tip size is best, solder type/gauge, and temperature for the iron is best for building these? I bought this solder when I built my Wolfpac Displays for Barracora and it flowed like a dream. I had my soldering station set to 650.   Game play wise Barracora is possibly my favorite from the time. Adding the new ROMs for updated scoring that are floating around does help. Paragon, EBD, Fathom and Centaur are also really good. Don't forget Stern used the same boards as Bally basically. Meteor, Nine Ball, etc. Gottlieb Alien Star is similar to some of the Williams/Bally at the time and a fantastic shooter. Devil's Dare is a really under rated Gottlieb wide body from way back when.

  I lean more towards Bally, especially that '79-'81 window. Lots of great games in that span, but a Williams game that stood out for me is Barracora. Great game from that era. I also enjoy Blackout and Sorcerer for their fun layouts/spinners. Nine Ball and Meteor are two of my favorite Sterns. Currently have 3 classic Ballys in my line up as they get the most play but there are plenty of great choices out there.

  It definitely looks good in my opinion. I don't think it transmits light as well as the original but I think I've heard that of most bgresto backglasses. agreed, definitely a great option if your original is busted. They are never quite as good as the original. I ended up selling my CPR Barracora when i put it next to my 7/10 original... different for everyone i guess? :) Spoke to copyright owner. Everything will come together. That is a GOOD news!
