Are any of the cabinet internals of the former usable in the latter? I'm hoping at the very least, switches, solenoids, and maybe the motor, etc.? Thanks in advance

Crazy story for this one. Sold my last em big Brave at lax . Have had Aztec on wishlist for 6 years. Saw a nice one in Syracuse for sale. 10 hour drive each ... interested in a pin in this guys basement that nobody plays anymore. Of course it's a freaking Aztec in great condition. Could not believe it. Also just 5 mins from my house. The pinball ... gods can be kind... 600 bux for a really nice Aztec. So lucky. [att=8111730,3843757 caption=""][att=8111730,3843758 caption=""]

@garrett Thank you very much for your encouragement. I was blaming myself for botching this job, however, this is the very most planked playfield I’ve ever worked on. So, maybe it’s not totally my fault. But it looks so bad I feel like just fixing the inserts and waxing. How did you touch up the area on Aztec with lettering, like at Same Player?

I'm looking to do some touch-ups on a Williams Grand Prix. Playfield isn't too bad, but I need to do it before I go any further with Novus, wax, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations as to paint colors and mixes? Also, kind of a noob question, but here goes: Would Williams have used the same paint colors for different games of the same era? In other words, could the shades of blue, red yellow be the same on Aztec, Space Mission or Grand Prix?

Pontiac Aztec syndrome. No one had the balls to tell the VP who designed it that it was ugly as hell. Perhaps too quaint a notion, no exec was going to die on the "no aztec" idea- they are given a directive- and this one was to make a semi-camper SUV. They were not responsible for that, that was higher ups who wanted to bring back the mini-winnie or w/e.

Companies make bad decisions all the time (Pontiac Aztec, Twitter becoming X, and so on). Plus I am sure there is a sense that they need to make the money while the fire is still hot.

To me, the white blue and the black should be on different lugs (per schematic) but they are together on loose wire. There is also a mysterious yellow wire.
