Well, asked Tilt Graphics if their Apollo13 GameBlades would fit in a Space Shuttle and they had no idea. Anyone know if they would? [quoted image] I would imagine the Apollo 13 playfield probably sits a bit deeper in the cabinet. Thus, you wouldn't see as much of the art blade with them in Space Shuttle. I don't know if that is a big deal or not. This is just a guess though.

Posted 21 months ago by Stebel – in Tech: DMD era games ‐ Last reply 21 months ago

Hello everyone. I am having a problem with my Whitestar flippers. It is the Apollo 13 / Goldeneye version with the flipper board. I suspect Q15 and Q16, flipper enable transistors are the issue. Both transistors test correctly, and when I ground each tab and press the corresponding flipper button, the flipper works. I changed the U2 74HCT273N chip as it controls both Q15 and Q16 but it made no difference. Any suggestions?

Apollo 13 launch handle dimensions Post #1 in topic

Seems the "Apollo 13 club" has quieted down, so I'm posting here. Does anyone have the dimensions of the bracket for the launch handle. It looks like it is made in two pieces with small "spot" welds holding the two pieces together to essentially form a box. The only pieces unavailable are this bracket assembly and the cam. Both should be easy to make and I finally have the time. I tried asking Sega for the drawing but they said no. Go figure. Cheers!

You have my curiousity TX-Sector for sure, that's always going to be in my top 3. The music and sound is just phenomenal, even if the game is simple. The 3rd spot is a little tougher, since it can change between modern pins like Alien, Jurassic Park, or older ones like Apollo 13.

I have to replace the three button service switch on an APOLLO 13, but the terminals are different on the original vs the superseded switch? 180-5012-03 in the photo on the right is the original and 500-6056-03 on the left is the replacement. The contacts are different- 1 wire goes to all and several wires feed the switch. Can I use EITHER side of the new switch terminals for the common side, as long as I am consistent? Hello Pinsiders from the East. Thought I'd post here to see if there's any nibbles. I'm on the hunt for another purchase or trade. On the shortlist of wants: Apollo 13 TAF MM (classic or remake) Possibly Ghostbusters Bride of Pinbot If you have any of the above, feel free to reach out. I've got cash, a Roadshow or possibly Popeye to trade.

Now we have games like Heist, where you can get a 10 ball multiball. Seems like it is a competition between manufacturers to see who can get the most balls in play simultaneously. The ultimate champ at that is Apollo 13. Unmatched to this day. Undefeated Multiball king nearly 30 years.

It's not Christopher Lloyd either, if you look really close you might recognize who it really is. Do people that aren't new to this hobby actually not know this? BTW it's not Harrison Ford on IJTPA either, but at least that's a great game. I don't know which licensing restriction is worse: this or Stern's Jurassic Park. Sega's Apollo 13 was clever at hiding theirs.

and I bet you even checked Apollo 13, You're right!! I went back to look and I see that Apollo 13 is coloured purple showing that I'd looked at it... Sega was the first batch of games I checked, regardless if theme... no idea how I missed it! I must be blind! The only Segas I'd not checked with a production run of over 1 were South Park and Baywatch on the basis I was 100% sure it wasn't them.

Williams could do it in the 90s just never seen a modern company pull it off. Has to be a reason? Not just Williams, ID4, Apollo 13, Twister, Lost in Space, JP lost world and the list goes on. Timing used to be big for location success. Now, not so much. Nostalgia works just as well if not better.
