Distributors are losing out on massive profit in this current environment. That might be the real travesty here. Distributors are providing a service, so I'm sure it does feel bad when scalpers who are providing nothing of value walk away with money that's been left on the table. But I think the "Pinball is hard," saying mostly applies to the people designing and building the games, so I'd much rather see the silly money ending up in their hands.

Don’t be swayed by people attempting to update, not doing it correctly and bricking their game…or people looking for the best pitch to set the game to avoid ball hangups. That’s pinball. Hard to manufacture, hard to program, hard to play and hard to maintain. Pinball is hard. Was hoping to hear more positive reports about the code update

As long as it gets fixed I’ll be happy. I just wish they would start testing these things a little better. It would save them a lot of trouble in the long run. That said, pinball is hard, and I will not pretend to completely understand just how hard.

What I have learned from this thread: #1. Don't invest in a start-up. Wait until they produce a pin. #2 Refrain from sending pro-order money. If you do, use a credit card that allows charge backs. #3 Don't ever buy into anything JPOP. He has proven time and time again to be a COMPLETE failure at producing pins. #4 Spend less time on Pinside and more time enjoying the hobby and life in general. But while on Pinside, try to state your opinions without making personal attacks. #5 Pinball is HARD.
