New England Pinball League - Season 16

Starts on 7-8-17 at some locations

Hello all.....

New England Pinball League is starting up THIS week at some locations, and next week at others. Please be sure to check date of the first session listed further down under the list of locations.

League consists of 8 weeks of competitive pinball play, and follows up with finals where trophies and cash are given out.

Regular season format:

* There are 8 weeks of regular season play.
* The first 5 weeks qualify each player for one of four divisions: A, B, C, or D.
* Across the entire NEPL, 20% of players will be placed into A division after week 5, 20% will be placed into B division after week 5, 20% will be placed into C division after week 5, and 40% will be placed into D division after week 5.
* The match results of Weeks 6 through 8 determine placement within these divisions.
* Even though a player will be assigned to a division at the end of of Week 5, all players will be eligible to play against all other players during Weeks 6 through 8, regardless of these divisions.
* After Weeks 6 through 8 are recorded, the top 24 players in each division (96 players overall) advance to finals.

Finals format:
* The top 8 players in each division get a round 1 bye.
* The remaining 16 players in each division are placed into bracketed groups of 4, with matchplay similar to the regular season used to determine the players who advance to the next round. (Top 2 from each group advance.)

The season costs $30, plus token drop. Each player who participates in an NEPL season receives one entry into a year-end drawing. At the end of the year, one player chosen at random from all entries from that year will receive a new Stern pinball machine. The drawing will happen at finals.

If your regular season meets are hosted at a private location, expect to pay up to $10 each meet up instead of token drop. (This amount varies per location.) Your $30 league registration payment is due by the 2nd meetup, so the 1st week can be a "try and decide" week.

***You can only play once per week. The NEPL week this season starts on Fridays, and ends on Thursdays Be sure you are playing in the correct week. If you are unsure speak to the site admin BEFORE you start play for the week***
