Captain's Auction Warehouse Offering Rare '70s-'90s Pinballs and Video Arcade Games

More than 300 items, including rare, 1970s-era pinball machines like Charlie’s Angels, Dracula, Gulf Stream, Middle Earth, Olympic Hockey and Spanish Eyes will be available at Captain’s Auction Warehouse’s end-of-summer auction on August 26.

Other popular full-size pinball machines properties going under the hammer include a circa-1965 Big Chief, The Addams Family – currently ranked #7 in Pinside’s Top-100 machines – and a 1990 Whirlwind. The auction also will feature sought-after 1980s-era commercial video arcade games, including Space Invaders, Ms. PacMan/Galaga, Super Street Fighter, Star Wars Trilogy, and Surf Planet.

Bidders seeking more of a “hands-on” experience can vie for a Star Wars Pod Racer deluxe arcade game, Drift Fast & Furious racing games, and NASCAR Racing Deluxe Arcade VR games, as well as pool tables, air hockey tables, and collectible coin-op cars, helicopter, and alligator kiddie rides.

On-site attendees can participate in a drawing for a chance to win pinball artwork and other family fun center prizes. All proceeds support Spirit League, a nonprofit sports league for kids with special needs. Throughout the day, limited edition Captain’s Auction Warehouse swag, and free SoHo Tacos starting at 5:30 pm, will be given to on-site attendees on a “first come, first served” basis. Limited quantities apply.

The auction will start at 11 a.m. at Captain’s Auction Warehouse in Anaheim, CA, with a free hands-on preview starting at 9 a.m. Online bidding and webcast are also available via Bidspotter.
