This is the story all about how my life got "flipped" turned upside down.
I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you how I became pinball nightmare..
In Warwick, Rhode Island born and raised, playing the silver ball most of my days;
A Solids and Stripes in our house was cool, and by age 6 I was better than all the kids in school.
Buck Rogers showed up when I turned 10, a birthday surprise full of pinball zen.
The big mall arcades were all the rage, mom'd give me 5 bucks and I'd bring back change.
Step ahead 10 years to my time at Penn State, getting a meteorology degree while staying out late.
Bally/Williams were putting out hits left and right, but that's also where I met my wife.
I got a great job, and we moved out west, to the Show Me state to try my best.
But there was a big void in pinball land, rec.games.pinball to the rescue and a Whirlwind was in hand.
Step forward 17 years, 10 pins and 2 kids, I get an offer that doesn't require working mids.
We pull into Pittsburgh in April '14, what's with these damn hills you know what I mean?
Meeting new friends and great pinheads alike, I finally realize the prize in strike.
So I'm ramping up my competitive game, to take down Bowen and all his fame.
