I own a project Devil's Dare that I am hoping to restore in the coming months, but an arcade I go to also owns one. That is where I have played Devil's Dare the most. It is a very addicting game. It is sort of tricky to figure out what the main objective is because almost everything is flashing and blinking. When you do figure everything it out it is one of the funnest System 80 games produced.

I agree with other Pinsiders who say that the upper flipper is sort of useless. The reason why I think is is there is because a slingshot probably wasn't an option in the switch matrix or space wise.

The artwork is very cool probably one of my favorites because of the rich oranges and yellows with the contrasting green. One of the few games that green actually works in from that era.

Like most System 80 multiball games this one is very difficult to get started. That is what makes it so much fun though. I personally hate easy games that give you multiball. I feel like people should have to earn it. This game definitely you earn it.

Also another thing to note is a Multi-Mode which is sort of a bonus multiball, which I think is earned by playing multiball and raking up a bonus timer.

Overall: Devil's Dare is a really fun game with tons of drop targets and shots to make.

If raked back enough Mars: God of War is a crazy fast game. The one I've played and will be picking up this weekend is that way. It makes the ramp harder, but funnier and more exciting to make it when you do. The full 3-ball multiball is one of the most difficult to achieve in pinball history, or at least from that era. I am going to have mine set on 5-ball because I think the scoring is more even on that setting. Also on 3-ball it is almost impossible to get multiball going sometimes. I like how it will give out a smaller 2-ball multiball and as long as the ball keeps in play scoring is 2X. When in 3-ball multiball it is 3X. The one thing that gives this game a nice forgiving feel at time is the outlanes when one or two balls are locked. It will kick out one as a Last Chance Lane feature, which is nice padding in case that happens in the game.

The games background sounds are almost identical to a Williams Blackout. The ramp is also vaguely familiar to a Bally Xenon. I will say that I don't get why somebody would say it was a rip off of other games of its time. First off it is a widebody, which is pretty different on its own. Secondly, yes the shots feel sort of like a Williams Firepower, but not enough to really do any damage to the originality of the game with the candy cane loop style lock. Thirdly, it is really hard to know if the designers stole the ramp design on Mars: God of War from Xenon because the games came out so close together. I'm leaning on the side of probably not. These were both in the design phase at almost the same time. Also a possibility that on both the Williams Blackout sound and Bally Xenon ramp that they knew that either these were out or at the design level, which is when they added those features to the game.

Overall: This is a really fun game that I hope gets more attention.

This is a great Zaccaria EM to own if you can find one. It is challenging and makes you pay for missing your shots. It is also one everybody that comes over to my house seems to really gravitate towards. Fun playing EM. Out of the many EM's I've owned and played this is the best.

Fun, but easy game to get a replay on. I keep coming back to this game whether it is easy or not.

Fun game, but way too many drop targets for my liking. That seems to be what the game is about. Although, I would buy one for a good price.

Too easy of a game to play. I could get replays all day long and it got boring. Pretty game, though. It may not be bad for home use.

Original theme with great flow the immerses the player into the game. Everything feels right at home when it comes to this game.

Only problem with this game is too low of scoring in the bottom, even with multipliers. Great Gottlieb and the best System 80.

First game I ever bought, great playing and excellent looking game. If you have ever played this game chances are you have mastered the backhand shot to the drop targets. I would recommend this game to anyone!

Update: Sold mine awhile back because the game got somewhat boring. I don't know if I would buy one again if I had the chance.

I bought one and didn't think much about it at first, but then it started to hook me when I started to play it more.

Update: I sold Super Straight around Christmas time. I'm starting to miss it already! I would buy one again if I had the chance.
