Guns and Roses is arguably the best looking pinball machine - ever. And it sounds great and the animations and theme integration are top notch.

Only two issues:
1. Worst plunge in all of pinball?
2. Poor approachability and rules confusion - even after watching streams and getting the basics down (start a song, cash a song jackpot), it's still nearly impossible for me to tell what shots are lit and are going to be worth points vs. just the insert flashing for affect/decoration.

I've also played a handful of these machines in various settings and none of them had good flipper feel like an older Jersey Jack title (Hobbit, Wonka) - may be maintenance or settings, but none of them felt satisfying :-/

Lebowski doesn't shoot the best, but it does everything else VERY well... Theme integration is on par with the very best (Hobbit, Rick and Morty, Alien) and the upper and lower playfields are ACTUALLY fun! The modes, callouts, and music choices are all excellent and the modes and rules are very satisfying. Some shots needed quite a bit of tweaking (e.g. orbit exits) and there are new company growing pains in the build quality, but Dutch seems to be making improvements and supporting customers very well. This one keeps me coming back for game after game.

Rick and Morty is an absolute blast to play - awesome theme integration with great lights (could be brighter...), music, modes, dimensions, and especially callouts. The Danesi lock toy is a fun setup that is always entertaining. The objectives are pretty straight forward and if you can hit the shots cleanly (no simple task), they feel great and are rewarding, but a typical player may hit a lot of posts. The game plays fast and can be somewhat brutal, but it begs for another play through and each try for a new high score is only a few minutes away (vs. a few dozen minutes in some other games). The art and video is all very well executed and on par with what you'd expect from the show. Once you eliminate/reduce the rattles, the sound on the game is excellent; I don't know why it came with a shaker motor - similar to TNA, the subwoofer does all the work and feels awesome.

This game is better than the sum of its parts, but still falls flat in the department of emotionally impactful moments (at least for the fair-to-middling player). Co-op and choosing your Turtle are highlights of the code, and the music's good, but it's hard to compete with other games that don't have to rely on music-from-scratch. The artwork is really nice, but the playfield is way too busy/jumbled and doesn't have a consistent theme/scene or distinct zones to deliver some sort of message other than 'misc. turtles'. Jeremy's Avengers playfield is much clearer and the inserts are better thought out. Animations aren't bad, but don't hold up against Deadpool, Jurassic Park, or JJP titles.

This review factors in the fan-made custom sound and video packages that transform the audio/visual experience and really enhance the overall experience. The game shoots smoothly when you're in the groove and the T-rex and raptor pit are sweet mechs. The 180-degree ramps are neat too. The progression through the paddocks studded by fun multi-ball and t-rex modes is very rewarding. Still a little too hard for a fair-to-middling player, but keeps you coming back.

The only major negative? The art. Each drawing by itself is nicely executed, but the overall composition of the pieces really is... Crap. Just as a simple example, the LE has two huge dinosaurs on the backglass plus a speeding truck. Neither dinosaur is looking at each other or at the truck, so it loses all energy and feeling it could have elicited. It's like it was made from clipart :-/

Game falls flat on call-outs, music, and lack of memorable/impactful moments, but shoots extremely well - really great upper flipper setup - rivals Jurassic Park from a layout perspective. Rules are EXCESSIVELY complex for beginners, but perhaps they are fun if you own the game??

I totally got my initial review on this game wrong. YES, JJP should have taken the cell phone and sim card crap out and just left it a disaster theme (or made the cell phone stuff legit funny somehow?), but that's a relatively small complaint for an otherwise BLAST of a game to shoot, and a pretty one to boot. Cant' wait for the next Lawlor game!
