My madness started in Parma Oh at the age of 11 in1973.My best friend and his Dad took us up to a local restaurant that had a few pinballs.I had never seen one before nor played one.Well Freddies Dad handed us a hand full of dimes and a few quarters and the madness had started. As summer approched that year Freddie and I set out on a quest to find on our own, pinballs that we could play without parent supervision. We found that place...the holy grail of pinball...a game room at the old Brookpark driving range and that was it.We were there, as I could remember, daily. The owner really liked us and we would ask him for odd jobs so we could contuinue to play pinball....we would hand count  and fill the driving range baskets, clean up the driving range  areas, clean glass on the pinballs and the arcade area, bathrooms ect...and it turned out to be a nice summer job for a couple of 11 yr olds.We did this for at least 3 summers until I moved away.Than I did the same thing at a pinball arcade from 7th grade till they closed up and worked after school cleaning glass, playfields and light maintence ect.The tech used to come in and teach me how to read schematics and work on EM's.I even saved up a few bucks and with the help of my parents, bought my first game
