I grew up playing my dads 90's Bally/Williams games. So when it came time for me to buy my first machine i knew I couldnt get away with just anything. I has a short list of games that would hold my interest and this was at the top. Not only is this game usually overlooked but is pretty inexpensive. It plays really great, Fast loops fun center toy and a simple multiball. Which is great for beginners, and tends to keep their interest. But for a regular player like myself. I needed a game that was challenging and had depth. This game has both. The rules set is amazing and really makes this game shine. If you haven't played one here is why this game without any ramps or tunnels has withstood the test of time.

1. Game has three"modes" or games as they call it 8 ball, 9 ball, rotation. once you complete those three games which in itself takes practice to do. You get to Cutthroat Countdown (wizard mode) where you have to hit 1-9 in order, with a timer and they move around the board. This is also where the big points are.

2. The toy in the middle controls the multiball. Its pretty basic, put three balls in after a slew of hits and good shots, you get a three ball multiball. The trick is that this multiball is a multiplier for the ENTIRE GAME! So no matter what mode or game your in, If you have 3 balls all scores are 3X, 2 balls 2x. Naturally your multiball skills will be tested on this game.

so stack a multiball on top of a wizard mode and trying to make shots takes some real skill.

Art work is simple but has that Vargas kind of touch to it. At first it took some getting used to. Now I love it. Simple and clean.

The sounds are good but my only complaint with the game would be some of the call outs the girl makes can get annoying. Ive seen others complain about the vintage chimes sound effect that it makes to tally score. It doesnt bother me. But if you really hate it, it can be switched off in the menu.

Music is good, it changes with the modes so kinda ramps up tempo as you go further.

I have owed this game now for a few months and i still play nearly every day. This game appeals to both those new to pinball and skilled players. This game will stay in my collection for many years to come. In fact I don't see myself ever selling it.

Amazing game.

Its a work of art as much as it is a fantastic game to play. I will say it the best art in ALL OF PINBALL. Game play consists of basic modes and shots nothing spectacular or boring either. But the sounds, theme and visuals and toys take the game into the hall of fame.

Classic that deserves to be in the top 50 of all time. The theme may put you off at first glance but put a few games in (ive put many years in) and it will keep you coming back. The multiball / orb rules are way ahead of its time. Beating that high score you got 2 years ago has never been so challenging. Amazing game.

This is exactly the same as Centaur in a goofy cabinet. That doesn't make it not a classic. Love this game. Quite challenging to get a high score. And the multi ball / orb rules are way ahead of its time.

Just got home from an arcade that had 15 pinballs. All sterns within the last 10 years. This is the first one checked on. I never hear about this game, It is definitely overlooked. Im guessing its the theme. Once you put a few quarters in a few things become apparent. First off its a Lawlor game. Layout is in his style but different enough to keep you playing. The second is that the rules are quite obvious. Unlike most newer games, you pretty much know what to shoot for. Due to the Blue/Yellow/Green stoplight like shots (similar to High Speed) Great toys, easy to understand rule set, lawlor design, Even has post between flippers for the newbies. This pinball was made for the beginner and novice player. However it has enough depth to keep anyone playing. It will be discovered in a few years and prices will go up. This is a must play. Even if your not a fan of the show.
