Kings of Steel

“Great condition but was showing it's age. Restored it while it was being used since most repairs needed were minor cabinet dings. The previous owner informed me that it was installed at a locally owned arcade in 1985, then the machine was moved to a bar three blocks down from where the arcade once was in 1993 and moved to the Bar’s storage area from 1997 until the previous owner bought it in 1999. It was in his garage and used until it broke down.It received its last full service 10 years before I bought it. I repaired just about everything electronic or mechanical, the driver boards were clean but needed resistors, caps, etc. The memory had already been converted to AA batteries and there was no acid leakage anywhere. The play field had minor chips and scrapes but was 90% original and perfect and no plastics were broken. The worst damage was the coin door, which required straightening, painting stickers, a new lock and the coin mechanisms rebuilt. Was terribly sad to let it go but had no choice as we were moving out of the state.”
