From draining pocket money to owning a machine (or a few)

I have always been a geek. My father got us our first computer which happened to be an Atari ST when I was 5 years old. This was when communist state was still governing in Poland so it was quite a feat to own that piece of machine (which was used to create / print "illegal" anti-communist government materials). But I digress. I was always into gaming. But pinball was always special to me. Whenever I visited an arcade (which in communist Poland where usually held in smal movable wagons akin to "Drzymala's wagon") I've used all the cash I had for pinballs. This was never a lot of cash and amounted to a few games per month only, but it was something. I had my viedogaming needs covered at home. But pinball was it!

Fast forward to my teens. Arcades started disappearing. Interests in arcades started waning (friends got their own computers to play at home) and there weren't many places to play. Whenever I came across a machine I did throw in a few coins.

Fast forward to now - I have considered buying a pinball machine for a few years and regret not forking out the cash a few years back when the prices were significantly lower. Anyhow - I got myself Fish Tales and Lethal Weapon 3 now. Decent machines, nothing top end but at least I can play as much as I want. There is some maintance to be done and here I am on Pinside. We do have a forum in Poland, though it doesn't come close to a vast amount of people and knowledge here.

Thanks for having me!

Doesn't matter if they are 'top end' or not as long as you enjoy playing them. Pinside is what helped me start fixing my own pins and has definitely added to my addiction. Glad to have you on Pinside!

I agree with Dude, those are great machines. Do not let cost and others tell you what is "top end." I think you have two great pins.
