New to pinball....is it heaven or hell?

So I've been into pinball only for about a year and a half...maybe two years now.  I have two tables.  One old, one new.  I find the new one too easy at time but the old one frustrates me to no end.  Is this the life of everyone who plays pinball?  I claim to love pinball yet tonight I was yelling at my Xenon like it was a real person.  Any insight from someone who's been through this?  Thanks.

I am new to pinball as well and I also have two machines...and i also yell and sometimes swear. My frustration comes from the newer one, Star Trek Pro. It is so fast and so deep and just so much darn fun! I calm down and relax on my TOTAN when Star Trek has an attitude.

I talk to it but do not yell. I figure that I will do better the next time, that is a lot of the fun of it, trying to do better.

I also yell and curse, but it's mostly directed towards myself for playing poorly. I'm not proud of it. I think ThomasH has the right attitude.

Playing a shitty game only makes you all the more elated when you get a really good score. Its weird! Sometimes I will have one ball after drain then get a excellent one that turns it all around.

You'd feel a lot worse about it if you were pouring quarters in it for ever game...

Don’t get to frustrated it’s all part of the experience. Xenon is a great machine.

Heaven and Hell > YES !!! I think that is the joy of pinball ... if you could get good and always get a high score > it would get boring. And fortunately, even when you master one machine, there are lots of others to play !!
