While the theme is not a top 10 for me, it is really a fun game to play and honestly that is the most important part for me. There are challenging shots, easy shots, lots of movement and variety. The rules have some depth, but not impossible to figure out and progress. There are no major play field issues like some other stern machines. Overall a great machine and one I will add to my collection.

This is a pretty amazing game. While i cannot say that i am a huge Wizard of Oz movie fan, i am a huge fan of this machine. It feels and plays so solidly. Much more so than older machines i have had and even new stern machines.

There is so much to it, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but after a half a dozen games, and a lesson from someone much more skilled than myself, i started to understand the flow and rules of the machine.

I ultimately bought one and it will be delivered next week, and i cannot wait. This is a machine that i feel could be fun to play for many years to come and continually find something new or different buried deep in the code and field.

Awesome machine and one that will be part of my collection for a long time to come.

I liked this machine, but ultimately decided to get a Wizard of Oz instead for my collection. THe game is fun to play, but dare i say "easy", as balls last forever, multi balls are pretty simple to achieve, and balls hardly ever go down the drain. (of course that last part just might be me comparing it to the Ghostbusters machine i play every day with the wide open spot between the flippers).

I like the playfield, and while at first it seemed barren compared to the Wizard next to it, the pop ups are a lot of fun and create a challenge. I liked the animations and voices of the machine and call outs, but i was a little disappointed in the gimmicks and toys. Smaug is good looking but ultimately doesn't do much.

Summary: Great game, good play,

I was all set to buy one of these until i played it. Started to lose interest after about 6 games or so, Most of the play is pretty straight forward and while it has a few gimmicks overall i wasn't all that impressed. I think that they nailed the theme and i love the artwork, very cool, but i really didn't like the joker and the call outs during the play. I would have thought that maybe the band would have been a bit more involved.
Summary: Overall a fun game that i would play if i see it out, but not one for a collection as i would tire of it too quickly.

I really love this version so much better. I bought and returned a PRO version of the game after a month because i had the opportunity to play the premium playfield and immediately had buyers remorse. The varied ramps, improved playfield toys and the drop on the right side make a big difference. Dont get me wrong, the PRO version is GREAT, but the Premium / LE is another level all together. IT IS worth the difference in cost for this machine.

A classic. My arcade staple for almost a decade growing up. I remember how sad it was when it was no longer there waiting for me. For its time, it was an advanced machine, and fun to play. They nailed the theme and was one to always draw a crowd.

Overall a fun game to play. Fairly basic game play, and a bit repetitive. I played this for about half an hour in store and started to lose interest a bit, so I decided to buy another machine. Might have bought if I was an avid golfer which may have overcome some other short comings.

I just bought this machine after playing it for an hour non stop in the store. Lots of variety, good interaction, love the quotes from the movie. I think they did an excellent job with the theme and captured some of the fun and spirit of the movies. I only wish that they could have gotten more than just Winston (Ernie Hudson) to voice it. Peter Venkman and Ray Stantz (Murray and Aykroyd) would have been incredible!

Update. I traded this version in and have purchased a premium version, as the game play and layout are just so much better. Still great, but Premium is a much better game.

Such a great machine and my one regret was not buying it when I had the chance to at a reasonable price. Now I will just have to stumble upon one hopefully. Great machine, loads of fun to play, lots of interaction, good theme, good gimmicks. Just an over great machine that is a classic.

I really want to like this game more. It is a great theme, fun to look at, and kinda fun to play. Honestly I find it a little too difficult, maybe I'm not that good a player, but that is how I feel. This is one I should have played more before I bought it. Ramps are HARD, and some of the shots get repetitive. I like that there are lots of modes and fun interaction, just not one I play very often anymore.

Its been said a bunch of times, yes the movie was meh, but the pin is fun to play. That is what I look for first and foremost. I don't need it too impossible, or too busy that you can't get all of the shots. This game has a good flow, easy play for all skill sets, and I like the smart and funny banter from the characters (Ernie Hudson and Tim Curry) actual voices.
