Old Smedley here. Just a guy from "the 70s" who for awhile spent more time at the pinballs in the dining commons in college than he should have...
Around 1980 he had the chance to come across a Bally Wizard in a friend's den and boldly asked if it was for sale. Yes was the answer. The prospect of owning that game with its hundreds of "points" and coils was exciting! Turns out the Wizard was in unaltered form and in very fine condition. Smedley strives to this day to "keep the faith" and maintain it in original configuration and with the discovery of Pinside and its fine Pinsiders and their invaluable advice is able to do so!
