My name is Jim and I'm a plasterer by trade- I teach plaster apprentices at our training center as well as work as an estimater/project manager for a construction company near Chicago.
Growing up my grandmother had a Balley Power Play hockey pinball game that I used to play on the weekends that we would go over to her house- Still looking for a good power play machine to add to my collection... (update) I now have a Power Play and my brotehr and sister each have on in their homes as well!
Wanting to capture a bit of that childhood experience- My collection and interest in owning pinball machines started with a literal barn find/ buy on Ebay- it was a Lucky Seven purchased in Michigan- as a solid state machine in very sad shape it cost me a ton in time and money to get it working again- and I was at the mercy of the repair guy getting my boards we-worked and back to me ( a couple times due to errors on my part). My second machine was a Williams EM that I was able to troubleshoot and repair on my own- that really started the ball rolling! I aquired several more machines, repaired them, cleand them up, played them for awhile and then gave them away to family members to make room to repair and house more games. My collection is growing and I am learning more on the repair and maintenence of older EM's every day- I've even gotten a few repair jobs for clients under my belt!
Update- Job has dicated that I move- I now live in EUreka Illinois with a very nice gameroom-
