South Park is very underrated. Hear me out…all of the kids, all their friends, and all of the non-pinball peeps that come over love it. My kids (9 & 13) play pinball with me as long as they are playing South Park.
Now, here is my confession. Every time I play this game…I am smiling and yes dancing. I am as ashamed of myself as you are embarrassed for me. I feel shame. I originally picked it up to occupy a free space while I wait for Stern built my Deadpool. Now it looks like it will stay a lot longer than intended. Due to used pin prices and the fact that the family loves it. No wonder it does so well on route. It is fun to play and very underrated. Probably not the most underrated, but it really surprised me. South Park really is greater than the sum of its parts. Even now my rating is probably too low.

I know this game is either a love or a hate for a lot of people. I appear to be squarely in the love camp, thou it makes me so angry. "I can't stay mad at you Ghostbusters!" The theme and call outs are a strait home run for me. The shots are some of my favorite. I do think the ball can spend a little too much time in the pops but i still love paying it every time it see a pro or premium version. If the flipper gap was just a little kinder the game would be a 10. even with the flipper gap i love this game and from time to time i am rewarded with a game that makes me feel like a pinball God. Even when i want to turn the pin over I still love it and can't wait to plunge the next ball. I should have bought a pro when everyone was dumping on this game, now sadly it is out of my price range. I hope to own this some day and be allowed the courtesy of cursing at it in my own home.

I finally got to play a premium and yes the art package is better on the Pro, but damn that orbit shot feels so good to hit. Hitting it two times in a row was ecstasy!

All the things from my Pro review (below) still apply, I just can't pay the extra money for the amazing orbit shot, the disco ball, and the red rails...but I wish I could

This game was love at first sight, and dislike at first play. When i first started dropping quarters into Deadpool Pro on route it just didn't click, it felt clunky and too fast for my skill set (I am just an ok player). The theme and that feeling that i was just not understanding the pin kept me coming back. Then...I started hitting my shots and Boom! The game really started to shine...so much so that i found myself dreaming about playing it. This game is fast, fun and has so many ways you can enjoy it. The callouts are perfection and the display and animations are amazing, then new code comes out and now I have to own this pin. I enjoy everything about this game. The layout is so refreshing and I can't wait to play it again. There is always something to do, and the art. This is Zombie Yeti's Masterpiece. The feeling this pin gives me reminds me of being on the swings as a kid. Yup, i just decide that will buy this pin, it is that good. I only wish I could afford a Premium.

Theme kills this pin's rating. It has so much packed into it, 4 flippers (one with a shark fin on it), 4 ramps, 2 vuks, drop targets, a physical ball lock (which I turn off because I love the mini orbit it creates), standup targets, pops, upper control gate (that creates an orbit that reminds me of the orbit on Deadpool Premium), a spinner, a upper right ball launch to the upper left flipper, and left outlane kickback, a wonderfully large DMD with video modes, and to top it off code that still feels good despite being made in 1995 (I am running Chads 4.01 code...so nice). If you overlay Baywatch over the Stern TMNT layout Baywatch has more shots and because of the left outlane kickback & shark flipper Baywatch doesn't induce the cursing at the greedy outlanes. Borg ripped off this layout from Balcer and made it worse (I know they all borrow layouts from each other). This is a top 25 game hiding in a 100+ rating and affordable price tag. Damn, I love this game and for the price i paid for it I don't think I can part with it. Now if I had the skill set to cut a circle in the playfield and make the spinning pizza disc a spinning whirlpool this game would be top 15. It is so easy to push the start button and play just one more game. I will mock up a layout comparison between TMNT and Baywatch just to actually see what I believe is true. Baywatch is a better game than TMNT. Never had a better day!

I play this game on route and every time I put two dollars in for three games. It is a fun game that I like playing a lot, but it is a little wood choppy and by the third game I am ready to walk away till my next visit. Some games are flow for days while other are brick city population, me! Is it a great game? Yes, but I don’t think it is Elwin’s best game let alone #2. Top five, definitely. Will I own it someday? I hope so.
