Unique layout that really works with the form factor, Trudeau fit in a good number of different shots to make it feel like more than a cut-down/compromised playfield. Music is great too (picture a nightclub scene from Charlie's Angels) and suits the game perfectly, sound effects are quite basic and somewhat jarring, but don't take away from the experience all that much.

Only real disappointment is in some of the random bonus awards, with 2X entire score potentially causing severe balance issues in any kind of competition atmosphere... as if you'd be seeing it in that context anyway!

But it shoots great and can become quite unforgiving at times. Definitely one to grab (or at least play) if you have the chance.

It's a great table, for sure, but I suspect my rating will not match what I say here. There's nothing really wrong with it and it's deserving of all the praise it gets, but I think it gets too hyped for what it is. The layout works well and the rules are straightforward, but there's nothing that really breaks any new ground or attempts to do anything different/special. It just does everything a pinball machine should do, but only excels at a few of them.

It's so cheesy and so 80s, but the game fits the theme so perfectly. It's probably the closest we'll get to anything like a Running Man machine, and I have no problem with that whatsoever.

I would not be upset if I had this machine in my collection. Dorky and fun as hell.

This game does a lot of stuff really, really well. It's a sequel to High Speed, but IMO plays very differently, and quite a bit slower despite the "supercharger" toy. I wouldn't hesitate in buying one if I came across it at the right price (already own HS) as it's different enough to justify both, but doesn't feel as white-knuckle as it's older brother.

Still a hell of a lot of fun, though!

Kickback removed for the Pro version? Come on Stern, stop removing features in machines that drastically change gameplay! Frustrating.

It's far from a bad game, but there are a lot of things holding it back. My main issue is the lack of integration of the music selection at the start of the game with the game modes. Literally does not make any difference what you choose, which is disappointing when coming from AC/DC.

The less said about the software that came with the machine up until now the better, with many modes feeling unfinished or completely absent! I hear the new software is much, MUCH better... but that remains to be seen first-hand.

The artwork is far too cluttered and "busy" for my tastes, too. Dirty Donnie's artwork suits the theme, but it feels like too many bad rock and roll tattoos have been squished onto the playfield, making it look messy.

Written with the older software in mind (pre-Feb 2014).

Great title, definitely Stern's slickest to date. Apart from typical software issues (which I've accounted for in the rating) and the occasional build quality issue (again, Stern) the machine holds up and plays great. Steve Ritchie with another winner on his hands, IMO.

My first machine, and I was surprised that a game that's so shallow (for a SS pin) keeps me coming back. The art on the PF is simple yet does the job, the backglass has a *very* early-80s cop chase movie vibe to it and there isn't a lot on the playfield as far as toys or anything "animated" (like drop targets).
But I continue to love the hell out of it. It's simplicity is what keeps me coming back, much like early video games... you know what you have to do, it's obvious from a glance but you just have to beat your last high score. It's the Space Invaders of solid-state machines, basically.
I don't play it to explore a universe like I would with a Twilight Zone, nor sink my teeth into and try to "complete" modes like chapters of a book. It's bare-knuckle fisticuffs against an opponent that doesn't hide anything behind a DMD or complicated ruleset.
Man vs. machine. You vs. Car 504.
