I'm reviewing Heist in May 2020, after owning it for 6 weeks, and playing just over 500 games.
HEIST is a GREAT pinball game that just happens to run on the Multimorphic P3 Pinball Platform. This *should* be Multimorphics breakthrough game. Hopefully, word will get out despite this years cancellation of all the pinball shows.

Playfield: The 2 ramps and 3 orbits (1 for the upper flipper) are all very smooth, making for great flowing gameplay and lots of combo shots.

Every shot can stop or divert the ball, but the ball is only interrupted when a mode is started. It's nice that most of these mechanics are hidden inside the buildings.

The left ramp is easy, it can be backhanded and weak shots generally go to a flipper. The right ramp is more challenging, with weak shots often going between the flippers.

In addition to its orbit, the upper flipper can hit a large number of shots, even the left ramp. Hitting the orbit once is pretty doable, but looping it with the ball at speed is quite a challenge.

The SDTM shot is the jail (a gated scoop) in the middle of the playfield.

The crane is great way to bring the action down the playfield. When in "bash" mode it registers even soft hits. Its fun to hit a ball off of it to start crane multi-ball. Because of the crane, Heist is *not* an "empty lower playfield game".

The 8 built-in scoops that lay between the playfield monitor and the playfield module are used in several modes to great effect.

There is minimal use of virtual targets on the playfield monitor.

Theme and Story: Good criminals against Mr. Big and his corrupt police force. Who needs a license? This is a light hearted romp through a heist movie. The good guys consist of 5 characters to play (each with a criminal specialty), plus the Mastermind. The bad guys are Mr. Big and his corrupt police force.

Rules: *Lots* to do:

*Play each characters side job, a very quick (sometimes 1 shot) mode.

*Recruit each character into the gang, by hitting their shots a few times.

* Play each characters individual job. (Started by recruiting). Jobs are multi-step. If you fail: Go directly to jail. If successful: You have a chance to get that characters McGuffin.

* Avoid random police patrols.

* Rob random armored cars.

* Break an individual character out of jail.

* Crane multiball.

* Police multiball.

* Jail break-multiball.

* Pull Heists (mini-wizards): After at least 2 characters are recruited and out of jail, you can pull a heist, a part timed, part multi-ball mode which has 19 variations depending on the gang members participating.

An amateur will easily get some things going, just by keeping the ball in play. An expert can work their way towards mini-wizard and wizard modes.

A lot of the modes and multiballs stack. If you get a few things going at once (on purpose or not), it's quite a challenge.

Art and Animation: Terrific 2D Motion Comic artwork. It's much cooler and more pleasing to the eye than 3D models used on other P3 games.

Music and Sound Effects (when not in a mode): The music is perfect background for heist (or spy) movie. The sound effects (ex: "coins") complement the music, not overwhelm it.

Music and Sound Effects (when in a mode): Youre now in an action scene, and the music and sound effects are cranked up appropriately.

Call Outs: Top notch voice work. I did notice that the male characters are more fun, and the female characters more serious.

Code: As of May 2020, code is over 90% complete: The final wizard mode is missing. There is an occasional game destroying glitch.

Overall: Everything clicks. Its an absolutely terrific game.
