“Great seller, very accurate description of the game and excellent communications. Highly recommend.
“I've dealt with James a couple times over the years. Always a smooth transaction.”
“Bought an X-Men pro from James and love it. It needed small minor work (around magnets and some minor playfield wear), but James was up front about it and completely honest. He was great to deal with all the way through the process of the purchase. He even followed up afterwards to see how I liked the machine.”
“Bought and shipped me a HUO RBION. No issues. Easy to deal with. Great game.”
James and I have been buying and selling machines from each other for years. He's an easy guy to deal with and I've never had a bad transaction with him. Upstanding guy and has always been fair with his games. Buyers need to understand if you are getting a game off route, not HUO you are in for an experience. These machines break, and are finicky. Fixing and adjusting is one of my favorite aspects of pinball.» Read more
Buy with confidence from James, I know I will and, in fact I'll buy him a beer as thanks next time I see him.
Never buy from this Seller. You have been warned.» Read more
He lies about the condition and provides far away pictures in dim lighting.
This is for "The Simpsons Pinball Party"
Seller told me the game was in very good condition. And assured me the game worked 100%. The pictures provided were far away shots, and because of his previous feedback I really didnt question it further.
I asked him if there was any flaws to mention and he said it was a great
When it arrived it was filthy. Grime and stains everywhere.
It did not look like the photos. The machine was
Full of cat hair. My family is allergic to pet hair and dander.
The LED Screens upper playfield didnt work properly.
An Entire section of the screen was blank. Never mentioned.
There was a gouge in the upper play-field. Never mentioned.
The DMD would shut off after 15 minutes of play.
Several of the rails had cracks in them and that was never mentioned.
And I did ask. Only to be assured the game was in great condition.
And one slide piece in particular next to the comic book guy was badly shattered and a piece of plastic completely missing about the size of a dime.
There was rust all over the metal rails.
The play-field glass had several medium depth scratches and had been
turned over facing down towards the play-field in an attempt to
hide the damages.
The Pin Had 4 deep scratches on the header box. Both sides. The length of 5-6 inches long and 1 inche wide. going horizontally along the side of the cabinet box.
A hole in the bottom of the machine from a dent.
It couldnt have been done by the shippers because it was tightly wrapped by stretch wrap and there was no sign of damage to the stretch wrap.
The photos did not show the damage on the side art because they were taken far away and in dim lighting.
There was no sign of shipping damage anywhere. The Shippers
helped me unpack the machine and were the ones who pointed out the
damage under the cabinet.
When I contacted Shacklersrevenge he refused to do anything about it.
I told him about all the issues and he just told me I was being anal.
ANAL??? the freaking game was no where near working 100%. It was going to cost me nearly $1,000 in parts not to mention labor to fix all the damage.
I offered pictures as proof but the seller didnt seem to care.
Dont deal with this seller. He may have other good feedback but
He didnt deal honestly with me.
He wanted me to help him sell it to someone else instead.
I ended up refusing that offer because I didnt want someone else to get
screwed like I did.

“The buyer of this game is not quite matured and has been a complete nightmare to deal with. He was given a full refund TWICE- My friend (another reputable pinside user) who said he would take the game no problem as he was lined up to buy it before him and knew its condition, and the buyer refunded it because they were not given under his terms. With almost no experience or reputation here on pinside, and after having my game 3,000 miles away, a full paypal refund was submitted to the buyer and it was not good enough after he SAID that it was and that it would be fine. When it went through, he refunded it and demanded google wallet as payment. I had talked with other well known pinside members about this person who has very little reputation here on pinside, and all agreed that something doesn't add up with him. Perhaps mentally unstable or he was trying to scam several hundred dollars out of the machine trying to offset the cost to his liking. The machine was listed as good condition with full pictures and the game sent 100% working. » Read more
Nobody turns over playfield glass to hide scratches, I've never heard of anyone even complaining about a playfield glass. I don't even own a cat. Buyer was comparing this game he received to his friends HUO game. Who does that? I never once listed it as anything close to a HUO game. When I asked and offered about simple repairs, he is not capable. Bottom line: this is a great playing, good condition game that was in my lineup and that is how I sent it to him. For all I know, with his inexperience, he could have dug in to the game and broke things himself, who knows? Why else would you decline a refund and claim that once I have the game I can do a chargeback? I was the seller, remember? I'm the one that sent you the game after you paid me. Are you worried about what you did to the game? or was that part of your own personal plan for me to send the money through a method with no recourse? Something just never added up with you and you were so demanding, like you needed immediate compensation with no real plan on how to resolve this peacefully and I tried.
In all my years of dealing with people either at shows, here on pinside, in person, what have you, I have NEVER dealt with someone like you- NEVER. When you give someone a refund and then they refund it and don't hold their end of their own agreement, I'm out at that point. I've done my part. You're the one not doing what you said YOU wanted and become a flip flop in the process with potentially shady intentions. The icing on the crap cake is this kid has been harassing and chomping to leave feeback for his side of the story. I've even spoken to a moderator about this whole thing, who agreed with ME, because the refund was given. So be it, I really don't care anymore. Any normal person can read yours and mine and come to a sane conclusion of what it boils down to, and that's that you're not. When your story just doesn't make sense, you're given full refunds you decline, you demand certain things, you demand several hundred dollars for repairs that most people can fix in 5 minutes, I try to help you in reasonable ways, you're never happy.
I tried to resolve this with you peacefully and fully and you know I did and the only thing I can do at this point is just shrug because of your own actions. The only person that screwed you, was yourself.”
“Machine was as he described no surprises. Never met James but all went well when I picked up the machine. A couple of plastics were missing but he sent them to me at no charge. I would recommend dealing with James anytime. I was nervous about paying in full for the machine before picking it up but not anymore.
Great guy to deal with.”
“Great guy easy to deal with. Game was as described.”
I did not meet James in person. I had one of my golf course employees volunteer to drive to pick up these two machines. The report that I got back is that James was a great guy to work with, he helped load and secure both of these machines, and couldn't have been a nicer person. » Read more
When I received the machines, I found them to be better than described in the advertisement.
Both machines are now at Paul's Pinball Palace in Newport, ME. The Jungle Lord only needs to be cleaned up a little bit and it will be ready to go. The back glass was nearly perfect, and the overall condition of the game is excellent.
When Paul saw the Black Knight, all he and his wife could say was 'wow!' The cabinet was nearly perfect, easily 9.9 out of 10. There was very little wear on the play field, and overall it is in great condition. The back glass was as described. Paul is going to do a total restoration on this machine and said that he's never seen a Black Knight in this good of original condition. Barring any unforeseen circumstances in my life, this will never leave my collection.
I am beyond happy with my purchase, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with James again in the future.
“Not only a great guy but a great player. Really enjoyed meeting / talking to James when I bought a machine from him. He loves the hobby, is a wealth of knowledge, and is a fun and fair guy.”
