When this was first announced, I was like, "Well, there's a pin I won't buy." Then I played it at TPF and couldn't stop. I wanted one. It took me time to save up but now I own a premium. It is just fun. It was one of just a few titles I was willing to shell out the bucks.
The theme is neutral to me. Yeah, I watched it as a kid when it was on TV, but mainly because there weren't many options back then. But it is very well integrated. The monsters, modes and special rules. They make sense and force you to shoot all over the playfield, not just spamming one shot over and over.
The music is heavy and similar to SpiderMan, which I love. The music definitely sounds better with a speaker upgrade.
The lighting is well executed and the RGB inserts helps you understand which shots need to be made during all the lovely chaos.
I love the atypical loopy layout with the sideways shots that can be tied together. I dinged the score due to the stock multiball release which drops the balls SDTM. Yes, there is a mod for that, but it should have been set up that way from the beginning. The sloppy ball launch which shouldn't require a fix. IMO, the issue is that ball guide placed right where the ball lands from the launch.
The left ramp becomes difficult to complete as the flippers warm up, so I added flipper fans and what a difference in game play! Also, the ball will often come out of the building SDTM at high speeds with no way to deal with it. They give you a couple of ball saves but that is a common shot and half the reason I will lose a good ball. Frustrating!
The split bridge only really comes into play in one mode but it does give some variation to the ramp shots. The spinning Mecha shot is cool, get to bash something and it adds to the chaos as that ball can go anywhere. The building though, it is meant to represent a crumbling skyrise and, besides looking cool as hell, mixes up the ramp return pattern for a time.
I gave it the same ratings as the Premium. I actually like the Premium's backglass better but I gave them the same rating.
Is this the best pin ever? I don't know but it is in my personal top 10, which is why I own a premium.

I was never a huge fan of the Godzilla shows as a kid, so the theme isn't a big win for me but...they made it work. But it is very well integrated. The monsters, modes and special rules. They make sense and force you to shoot all over the playfield, not just spamming one shot over and over.
The artwork is nice and the pro, premium and LE backglasses are similarly good. I like the premium BG slightly more than the others but not enough to change the rating.
The lighting is typical of a newer game, well done but nothing gimmicky or to be wowed by except the RGB inserts do help you identify which shots to make. The sounds and speech didn't seem repetitive.
The music is heavy and similar to SpiderMan, which I love. The music definitely sounds better with a speaker upgrade.

Due to the lack of the Premium's features, the pro does have better flow due to a few factors: The bridge doesn't affect game play much. The lack of a spinning mecha GZ ramp makes that shot much more predictable. The pro building reduces the game pauses for ball locks and building movement. Still a very fun game.

I don’t like the black and white coloring so the artwork took a hit on this model. I like the lower playfield, especially the play both at the same time mode which people have been clamoring for years. But other than that, the gameplay is just kind of vanilla.

Smooth and fast but it seems you have to hit the same three shots over and over. Safest way to play is to backhand the shots. The video sequences are good. I like the artwork but the gameplay is just too simple to have staying power in a home environment. But I think this might be a good tourney game.

Played a bunch of games on this and it was fast and brutal with the flow as expected from SR. Lightshow was pretty good, though I felt blinded by the flashing at times and I am definitely not a LED hater. I like how you can choose a character to switch it up and add some strategy. Sounded good on location. Artwork is meh, but I assume that was out of the development team's hands.

Put a bunch of games on this the other day. Game had decent flow. Seemed to be more action with the right flipper than the left due to modes. Everything seemed to be integrated well. I didn't find the phone annoying but it was loud in the room. Kept thinking of JM when it would ring, though. The theme is not bad to me, it is no different than Earthshaker or Whirlwind, but the name is dumb. However, I don't play the name and the game is fun as hell to play. I like this better than Aerosmith and GB.

I like Aerosmith so I am not turned off by the theme, but am not a fan of some of the songs on the pin. The upper playfield is pretty boring. Right ramp too steep to backhand but not difficult to make with left flipper. Right orbit a tighter shot and seem to be way lower on the flipper than it should be. I feel like I am trying to Shatz the inlane when going for the orbit (flippers were in correct location) Balls coming from the pops likely to SDTM as are ramp returns. Can't remember if the pro had the cool lightshow. Would rather have a pro.

Very pretty machine with an AWESOME lightshow. Dots are cool and callouts are done well. Music is fine. Toys were real nice. Not a fan of the magna slings, primarily, the fact that they don't always seem to be on. Some hits to the slings will activate them, and other times, they don't. Maybe the switch wasn't gapped right. Or maybe they are not activated during a mode. Hard to tell. Ball likes to jump around a lot, sometimes right over the flippers. Right ramp is a PITA to get the ball all the way up, it seems to loose a lot of energy making that tight turn. Left orbit is real tight but make able. Left outlane was a gobbler, much worse than the right. Rules: seems like there is a lot to do but the wide flipper gap will probably keep many from seeing it.

Finally got to play a bunch of games on this title. I like the artwork. The sounds were good. I was surprisingly not annoyed at the Theme song. Hitting Slimer is fun. Nice array of shots. The wide flipper gap will take some getting used to. The one thing didn't like was the ball would hit the inlane guide and bounce over it to drain on both sides if moving at a good speed. Did this to me on every other game I played. Is this normal or just this machine? Modes seemed relevant to the theme and the sounds and dots were good as far as I could tell.

I own this game. My 2nd GamePlan and both have solid cab and parts. Very similar to early Bally/Sterns so not sure where the cheap feel comes from. Backglass is better than the original IMO with "Quigley Down Under" as opposed to "Poorly drawn dude." Playfield layout and rules seem to be the exact same as original. This hurts it in one aspect, sound. There is no background sound or speech which is pretty unacceptable for 1983. Game has some very difficult shots which require nudging and luck to make (left targets and S.H.R lanes. The ball will almost always roll down the A unless you do some serious nudging. Since there is no lane change, this becomes a real skill shot. With rebuilt flippers and a waxed playfield, this game is fast. Missing a drop often results in a fast return SDTM. Shots to the left of the sling are rare because of the small opening but if it goes in there it is usually a drain due to the trajectory. Go for the Horseshoe lane. It was fun but too similar to my Andromeda which is better due to sound, flashers and MB.

I thought this game was boring as hell. I did well enough to earned a free credit on my first game (not from a match) and yet I don't feel like I was having fun. Ugly BG and the rest of the art is so, so. I just don't see why others like it. Oh, well.

I loved that BG when it was the cover for the game, and still love it. Interesting layout and I think the lane saves are neat. I want to put more time on this pin. I wish they were more common.

Artwork is ok, fits the theme. No speech or music that I could hear so I cancelled them out in the ratings. Sounds were straight from the video game so they definitely fit the theme. Playfield was well thought out and had lots to shoot for. Ruleset, while not immediately apparent, was well thought out with lots to do and pretty unique. I played about 10 games at $1 each but was having a lot of fun. Why did Williams not make more of these? I am guessing this game is not easy to advance thru the stages and therefore wasn't fun for beginners.

Cab and PF Artwork isn't bad but the BG is horrendous. Someone needs to make a good alt translite. Gameplay is fun but simple. Ramps are harder to hit than I thought they should be and the left ramp is fun but dangerous. Light show isn't too bad for this era but the GI is dark. Sound isn't bad at all, unlike my Goldwings where I pulled the fuse almost as soon as I got the sound working. Had to knock it a couple for lack of speech in 1986. No animations so no rating there. I like the fact you have to drop all six drops to advance towards EB. Forces you to not focus on one area. I do wish MB start was with the captive ball instead of ramp. Would give you reason to hit it other than for some points.

My buddy has a real nice one. Background music is neat for its time but really annoying to me. lighting is average. Backglass is awful. Shots are ok. Game play is ok. Not sure why this goes for so much. Just not for me I guess.

Yeah. I can see why people aren't so hot about this game. Shame. I was hoping I would be able to get a pin I liked for cheap. Well, there are about 200 other games I would buy before this one.

Looks good. Sounded good. Was fun and played better than it did the last time. Flippers were less delayed. I guess they were able to tweak the software or something. The upper playfield is an average layout but I love those pop up scoops. Not sure if the novelty will wear off in a home environment. I love the nice clean tech under the hood too as long as it is not too difficult to repair down the road.

Got to play this a bunch at TPF. It looks good. The red isn't overdone as much as I thought it would be. The layout is fast and fun with the slings in the sides but the upper playfield is a slow, painful, bore. Can't go wrong with the sounds but I feel the music should be louder compared to the rest of the callouts. It seems muted. Not sure if this can be adjusted. I had fun playing it except when the ball went up to that godawful upper playfield. Is there a Pro version with this missing? If so, I would buy that one.

I am glad you can get rid of that horrible backglass with a TV screen. Game has lots of flow, good callouts and was quite fun. The lockdown bar still hurts my hands but since there is no field for that, it didn't affect my scores. Good all around pin and I love the new tech under the hood.

This is the third KISS I've played (out of 3) where the head feeds the ball SDTFM! I am glad I am not a KISS fan because this game sucks. It does look good and the lightshow is nice. Sound is good too with many choices, even though I only care for a couple of the songs. It just isn't fun to me.

Great looking game. Sounds are good and suit the theme but I had to ding it for no speech in 1985. Lightshow is good and I like how they flash the GI on and off quickly via the relays. Play is where it shines. It is fast on a well set up game with fresh rubbers. The protective post make the spinner a tight shot but it can be backhanded fairly easily. Hit the corresponding stand ups to light the pops for 1000. Drop all the drops to light extra ball and special. Better nudge as the ball comes down the middle drop lane or it might go SDTM. Drops have a tendency to brick but I am using DE targets so don't know how that is affecting it. Hit the single drop then lock a ball in left orbit, don't hit it too hard or it will blow thru the saucer. Then hit the left standup to start MB. Watch out, if you don't hit it squarely the ball will likely go straight across to the right drain fast. Good news is you only lost MB. Bottom left pop is interesting. Keep left flipper cradled for protection if the ball is over there. Very fun pin and I am glad to have such a nice one in my collection. I just wish she could talk to me like Xenon. But would she be saying Ooohh and Aaghh or Off with his head?

Artwork is good, not ugly but nothing special. I just love the Pinbot background music. That is Pinball music to me. The Green mode lighting during MB seems ahead of its time. I am not sure if any other games of its era or before that did that. The right outlane is brutal on the one near me, the ball will routinely come out of the left side of the pops, down the left orbit and right across into the right outlane. Nothing but net. I think if the pitch were a little steeper, might fix that. The lack of inlanes makes drop catches a must. Unlike all the other no-inlane games I played, this does have about a 1.5" dead section between the flipper bat and the sling to help with ball control. I found it easier to lock the ball up top than to make that ramp on the fly. I thought the game fun, different and challenging with the lack of inlanes. EM challenge in a fast, SS game.

Cab artwork is good, Backglass meh and playfield bad. I wish Stern was given some more creative license with the artwork but that is what you get when you do a TV/movie license. I like the layout. Yeah, its a fan but I like fans. I liked choosing the different houses but do not know enough of how each one affects the rules. The captive ram shot was kinda lame on the game I played. Felt like hitting a marshmallow with the same satisfaction. I hope others are more lively. I wonder if Mezel will make a Ball mod. I liked the upper playfield in that it didn't feel clunky and you had to actually aim for the shot you wanted. I couldn't really hear the sounds so I rated them average.

I don't like carnival wrestling so the theme isn't a seller to me. The lower playfield generally flows well. Dropping the ball into the ring was fun the first few times then just slowed the game down. I thought the mini TV was cool once I actually noticed it. Cool that is, for watchers. I never looked at it while playing. Artwork seemed ok if you like staring at guys in the gym.

I do not like this game. The bagatelle on the left takes up too much space and really slows the game down. I groaned every time it went in there. I did not think this was a drain monster at any position. I found myself wishing it would drain faster. Artwork is ok. music is expected Peter Gunn ever and over. Gameplay was just blah.

Beautiful game with nice colors. Horseshoe loop is fast and rewarding when you can make it, dangerous when you miss. Gameplay seemed bland and boring otherwise. I also didn't like that the center catch/kickback only resulted in an immediate drain after launch on the table I played. Kinda took the fun out of that gimmick. I had the chance to buy one and I am glad I passed.
Played another one with a new playfield and a kickback which worked as intended. i actually enjoyed playing it. Funny how that works. ;) So I increased my rating some.

Not an easy game with the crossing inlane on left and lack of inlane on right. Artwork is ok though not great. Sounds seemed basic and no speech in 1984 is just cheap. Rules seemed interesting. Glad I got to play one in such good shape. Wasn't excited by it though.

Great looking game. Symmetrical layout and simple rules make this one not so much fun to me. Outlanes are brutal and I imagine this game is quite difficult when waxed. The game I played was in pretty good condition but I wouldn't call it fast, even for a Bally.

Only played this one player so I didn't get to race anyone. Slings are nasty and damn near unavoidable with no inlanes. Better be good with drop catches. Upper playfield is fun with the disk and flippers. Disk makes cross playfield shots pretty much impossible so go for the near targets. I like the backglass artwork.

Played C2S's and really like this game. The backglass is good in a cheesy sort of way. Dude reminds me of my Dad in the 70s. Too funny. Anyway, the gameplay is fast and fun with a good variety of shots. And fun is the key word for me. I want one.

The ball comes out and is real slow at the top but once thru the neck this game is super fast. Plays like a nicely set up SS. Really surprised me it doesn't feel like an EM.

Looks are ok but a fun game and not easy to max points. Quite a lot to shoot for but you need to know what to do. Not a good game for mindless thrashing. I am looking for one of these.

This game is very similar to the original in that it looks great but gets boring fairly quickly. I just couldn't get into this game. Seemed slow compared to other recent games. Most shots are tight which is fine with me. The tongue is exceptionally annoying in that probably 1 out of 4 releases will go SDTM. I had one game in which it did it twice which makes this game no fun at all. I will stick to my AC/DC.

Fun game with a great layout with lots of shots. You will either love the chirping or it will drive you nuts. Outstanding playfield artwork. Backglass is well drawn but I think it would have been better without the giant Kenny Rogers face.

Love this game. One of the few classics I want to own. The artwork is really good on a nice machine. Unfortunately a lot of it is lost from wear on most. Lighting and lightshow were really good for its time. Short ball times if you can't make your shots. Keep that ball in control.

Awesome game. I think the brass trim looks great on this game. I just wish it held up better. I don't mind the gold on the backglass at all. Shaker is well integrated. Everything else is exactly as the normal pin.

Fun little cocktail pin. It is pretty similar to an EM in play style. No inlanes so learn to drop catch or just flail. The upper rollover lanes are actually pretty difficult to make, the ball naturally wants to bounce to the star rollover and close the gate to the shooter lane. Not a big issue as the ball is very unlikely to go down the right outlane. The left outlane is easy to drain to though.
Drop all the Drops for bonus increase. Made more difficult since there are 4 switches which each raise a drop. Try to match the two right lanes at 4 to light special, collect on left behind drops. Problem is, those lanes are advanced by the slings and also collected by the lanes. So getting them both lined up at 4 and able to make the shot without hitting either sling again is more akin to luck. All in all I felt it was well laid out.
Gave Backglass and Cabinet Arwork a 4 since there is none. I don't want to give it a neg when it is N/A. Playfield artwork is classy.

I played a very nice version of this machine. It was still one of the worst machines I have ever played. A great theme completely botched. Apparently the designers were rushed and it shows. Sad, really.

Good looking game. My buddy has a pretty nice one in his motorcycle shop set for two games for a quarter. Gameplay isn't bad but the outlanes are really greedy on this pin. A lot worse than many others of this era I have played and I am not sure why. It does keep you on your toes though. This theme screams jump. Even a worthless one just for show would have been uber cool for this time period. Missed opportunity.

I really like the gameplay on this machine. It is fast and fun. I love the artwork on the LE but really dislike the Boss versions so I had to average those ratings out. The music selection is good as is IMO but I really like the fact you can mod in replacements for those of you who like to cruise to Michael Jackson lol. I added one to my wishlist. The artwork is great on this machine. Some of the best IMO. I love the music but I cannot stand a lot of the callouts. Gemeplay reminds me a lot like Spiderman. While I really like SM, I don't want two of them. If you love the play of SM you will probably love this game. I just wouldn't own both but I prefer variety in my small lineup.

Game reminds me of what Corvette would be if it were mode based. I used to own a Mustang so I am not against the theme like some. The game I played was fast and in good shape. It seemed to be pretty brutal, miss your shots and you will have short ball times. I like the artwork more than I thought I would. I like some of the song selections. I had fun playing it but not enough to replace my other pins.

Not a bad game. Fast and flowy. Custom dots were really well done IMO. I think with a some rules tweaking it could be great but right now, it seemed every mode was the same. An exaggeration I know, but they were similar enough that I didn't feel it mattered which one I played.

Man, I like their music but Hetfield's voice is so annoying. Ruins the game for me. Flow would be real good except for the rear orbit post which stops the ball. Ramp entrances look tight but I had no issues getting good combos going. Probably an illusion because they are made of metal. Same lame two lane non-skill shot as in Iron Man. Light show was decent, and dots were cool. Rules still need polish as I feel with the current code it is too much of a hit this same shot over and over to start MB. At least that is what it felt like to me.

Call outs were annoying even in a loud arcade. Game is dark. Couple this with the backglass glare and annoyingly bright flashers that were installed made tracking the ball difficult. Rules were very simple. Basically, shoot the ramp over and over until you make Mario big and then shoot the upper hole to destroy the castle. Repeat to save the princess. There were some other things to do but that was the main goal. Just an average game IMO.

I used to play this at the arcade as a teen. Haven't seen one since. My buddy Todd just got his working. Man, it brought back some good memories. Fun game. Best of the bike themes. Best of the interactive Backboxes too. OK variety of shots on the regular PF. Can't wait to play it some more.

Skill shot is cool. Lots of tight shots. Center lane shot usually ends in a drain. Left outlane has a mechanically ball save activated by a second flipper button. Never seen that before. Atom Smasher has a neat feature; you can knock the ball out of it to start a multiball and you have so many seconds to put it back or else. Could not figure out the or else part. lol

Game is much improved with the 1.24 code, but not perfect. I own the Wolverine version and I absolutely love the artwork. The dots and music are great. Most of the voices are good but a couple are not. The flow is good if you can make your shots but the shots are tight so this is not always easy. Wolverine needs to be moved to the right to open the Beast lane. There are a ton of modes which will ensure longevity. Some are easy and others not but villain mode progression now makes them doable. You won't beat this game the first time playing it. Don't like the scoop awarding in-lanes and they need to incorporate combo champs so it isn't perfect. Game is has good speed and has some unpredictability with the magnets and disk. Nightcrawler is fun but in this code he comes too often and the ramp only moves in a few of the modes. I set the pitch a little steeper (6.8) and that seems to solve the SDTM problems some people were complaining about. Having a lot of fun with this game and glad I bought it.

Fun game at first with a great theme but finding the culprit is just too easy. Not sure why the casino games are there. Left drains off the ramp returns are extremely annoying. Could have been better. Not a bad game in a large collection and can be had for cheap.

Average pin from that era. Trying to get the "A" lane is the most difficult shot in the game IMO.

Code v1.61 - Not a mode based game. More a points driven game where you change the song to focus on acquiring points from the corresponding parts of the playfield. Song selection is important depending on where you are in the game if you want to maximize points. MBs are all stackable. Great light show with the multi colored inserts and GI. They chose a good selection of songs for the game. The cannon does get in the way of seeing the right outlanes but that is my only gripe with the layout. Very fun and has that one more freakin game addiction to it. But if you only like mode based pins then you might not like this one.

I was too old to get into TMNT as a kid so the call outs annoy the heck out of me. The The playfield artwork is good but the backglass could be better. The two ramp entrances together is interesting but they are very narrow and difficult to make and disrupts the flow. The pizza disk isn't well implemented IMO. Not a very good game.

Fun, simple game with some really cool features such as the ramp returns which can divert the ball down along the apron to the opposite inlane. Artwork is ok but unfortunately is based on the movies so you have to look at Rosie and Goodman. Sounds and dots are good. Gameplay is fun but a little simple. That left ramp is sooo easy to make it is almost impossible to miss it, however I have not been able to make the super jackpot lane yet. The bowling shot is dangerous and often results in a SDTM return. Lots of fun to play on location but wouldn't own this unless I had a large collection.

I have played both the pro and the LE and I think I prefer the pro version. The two upper playfields don't really do much but slow the ball down. Yeah, the right one does the shake back and forth for one mode but that is it. And the pro doesn't have that ball launching drop target. I also like the normal BG better than the standard LE one. The new style cabinet graphics look tons better than the old way. I like that the playfield artwork looks like it is drawn and not just a cut and paste from the movies. The game felt solidly built compared to recent games but both games I played had serious leg wrinkle on the decals. This game is pretty quick, much more than I thought it would be.

Don't like the gold colored jet caps but they are easily replaced. The gold bookcase and Thing box doesn't matter much to me either since I would put the aftermarket decals on them. I like the extra sound bites of the Gold ROMs but not the Cousin It's Hideout awards. I also prefer the blue colored cabinet art. Other wise it is not much different from the original.

The video mode is challenging and cool and fits the theme. Very long ball times. The 13 ball release is like a Pinball Orgasm. Other than that though, the game is just so, so. Worth playing a few times for the experience.

Not sure why this game has space sounds. Totally doesn't fit in with a card theme. Chimes would have been better. Artwork is so, so. Flip up targets are cool but that is about it. Gameplay is boring IMO.

One of the better looking Gottliebs out there. Gameplay is average. Still has that clunky Gottlieb feel where the ball bounces around in the ramps instead of flowing up them. Sounds and dots are just as cheesy as the movie.

Can't really get into this game but I am not a soccer fan either. The goalie works and reacts well but the spinning soccer ball is just lame and takes up space. Artwork is average. Sounds and dots are decent. Game play is just average. Not one I want to own.

Shoot the spinner to increase bonus and hit the saucer to collect seemed to be the way to score big on this one. Unless I missed something. Symetrical playfield layout. I like the backglass artwork. Everything else is typical of the era.

Not into soccer. The layout is wierd and some things just seem to be there to take up space. The lower half of the game is pretty much empty and there are no outlanes. The game is timed and when it runs out, the game is over. Unless you just plain suck. Not sure if the game will run out if you drain 3 times as it didn't happen. The whole point is to knock the top 5 targets out of the way so you can score a goal. Not my type of game.

Love the monotone electronic background hum. Sounds cool. Very fitting to the theme. Not sure if it should be called music since it doesn't change so I just rated it under sounds. The extra scoring logic of having to earn points to open up the lower playfield is neat. Artwork is colorful and wierd but in a cool way. Gameplay wise though, the game falls short.

Fairly symetrical playfield makes the gameplay fairly straight forward. The main goal of the game is to spell KISS to increase your bonus. Don't Tilt or you will lose a ton of points. The spinners are tight shots and the 4 pops give a lot of randomness to the ball. Sounds are typical pinball sounds of the day. The one KISS song it "plays" seems out of place because of its lack of quality compared to the rest of the game's sounds. The flashing KISS marquee is pre-flasher era and was cool for its time. Artwork is very well done. Some of the best on any game, even if you aren't a KISS fan.

Played this again. Orr was before my time so I could care less which uniform he was wearing. Game would look great with generic team backglass, particularly in orange and black. Go Flyers! Anyway, I don't like the completely symmetrical design. Side flippers are dangerous but are fun when you pass the ball back and forth like you are working your way down the ice, even if it is dangerous and worthless to do so. This is a bonus building game so don't tilt. Raising center post is cool feature for its time. Holy crap that bonus countdown is painfully slow. I thought my Meteor was bad.

Played this for the first time at my friends house. Never seen one before and then another pops up on C-list that same day. Not bad for a late 70s solid state pin. Problem is it was made in 85. Beautiful pin. Even without the hot chicks, I just love the comic book style of the artwork. The colors really pop out. The game play is average and not very fast. The multiball lock rules are very similar to the Getaway where you light one target each of the three target banks and then shoot the ramp then repeat for the other two balls. The submarine ball lock and release is a cool idea. The sounds are ok.

Finally got to play one at the Koog. People aren't kidding when they say this game is brutal. Pretty much any missed shot will end in a drain. Rare pin from the A# era which rides under the radar due to its theme I guess. The music is catchy and the artwork fun. The game has real nice flow. Nice solidly fun pin which plays better than some of the more popular pre-DMD games.

Finally got to play this at the Koog. Man, this is a blast to play. Real nice flow and those Phurbas really add another dimension to the game. The upper playfield is cool too. The ruleset is not shallow or easy giving this a lot of lastability compared to other pins of that era. The backglass artwork may not be the best but the gameplay is awesome. I want one.

I really like the artwork and the sound is very good but I like Daft Punk. Lighting is good as there are no dark spots but it definitely needs those lighted ramps. The DMD clips could be better. The ball return from the disk is cool and puts some crazy spin on the ball. The flow is good on this pin and I can make many combos to keep the ball moving. The original arcade game toy looked really cheap and kinda out of place so I had to upgrade. Have played 6 different tables and some were easier to hit the Gem lane than others. Also, only a couple were fast players. Set up is very important on this game.

Not sure what a big snake and a boat have to do with Scorpion but, whatever. Maybe there was supposed to be a Movie which didn't happen. Artwork is OK. Light show is good for its day. The sounds are the standard Williams sounds of the era. The left Multiball lock is a bit difficult to make but the right is very easy. This is a super widebody so it is not super fast but the layout is actually pretty well thought out and is not as slow as others of its size. I do like the mini pf in the upper left and all the drop targets.

Artwork is ok, nothing great. The flat band members are really crappy looking and hard to see at playing angle. Music is good and there are plenty of songs, even if they aren't the ones I like. Ruleset is very simple. The opening light show makes the skill shot impossible to see. Layout is ok. The outlanes are wide open from the top and will suck the ball down from any angle. The inlanes are wide though and the post keeps the balls from popping out and into the outlanes. Flow is average because Mick intentionally blocks certain shots. Need some strategy there. They did seem to fix my biggest gripe with newer code in that Mick doesn't move to block return shots as much anymore. More fun than it used to be so I have upgraded my score.

When I played this I thought it was a much newer game than 1980, the machine was in such great shape. I like the artwork on this, a good looking pin, even if it is a guy front and center. Artwork is not very good. Sounds are typical early pinball with the space explosions. Widebody with a fairly open playfield. The main theme of this pin is the 7-bank drop target assembly. You have to knock them all down in before a timer runs out or they reset. This can be challenging. The music tempo speeds up as you run out of time. Average old school player.

Not a big fan of old widebodies because they are slow but this one isn't too bad in that regard. Sounds are typical old school pinball with the space explosion sounds but not annoying. Pretty boring pin. Played one at Pincades in great shape. The artwork and sounds are kinda bad. At least the Germans were smart enough to change the backglass to girls but it is still crappy. It also creates so much glare on the playfield glass I had trouble seeing the upper half of the playfield.

Played a pristine version of this at Pincades. The backglass is ugly but the playfield and cabinet are good. The flow is ok. The split level playfield reminds me of BK and BK2000. The poker hand aspect is cool but detracts from the flow of the game. Playfield is brightly lit. A fun game to put some quarters in but wouldn't seek it out, especially at this price.

Got to play one in awesome shape. Fun game with good music and looks. Nice bright and beautiful playfield. I like the western theme and think the shootout drop targets are a great idea. Dislikes are the pop bumpers. The ball stays in there forever. Also, the orbits always lead to the pops, at least when I was playing. The ball times are long on this pin, even at my skill level. Overall a fun machine but if they made 5000 of them the price would be down around $3000 IMO.

Not a big fan of this one. Don't particularly like the looks, sound or gameplay. Gameplay is pretty average and pretty slow. The banana flippers are cool as a change of pace but the rest of the game is forgettable even for that era.

My buddy owns one with a great shape except for the cabinet which needs a repaint. Not a bad looking game. Game play is average, not particularly fast or slow. Several different shots to make. The skill shot is impossible IMO. Sounds get annoying. The dot game takes a few times to figure out but quickly loses its appeal as it stops the flow of the game. Play it a few for its rarity.

Artwork and sounds are good. Not a big fan of the layout. I find the game to be pretty slow and the ramps take forever to return the ball. The only time the game seems fast is when the ball bounces off the 3 posts in the center. Would have to increase the pitch to speed it up.

I like the game for the most part. Lots of quotes from the Keeper. Not a big fan of the artwork. I find the launch shot to the drops annoying because it often results in a drain SDTM. Yeah, you get a ball back "Freeze" but it is still annoying when it does it 3 shots in a row. The tongue ball launch button is a cool idea. Other than that I like the game play. Would like to own one some day.

Beautiful artwork and lightshow. Some don't like the purple cab decals but it makes the game stand out in a good way. I get tired of blue games. I also love the music and sounds since they reused the ones from Pinbot. Ruleset is very limited. Not sure why they only did a two ball multi since there are 3 balls in the game. Could have launched 3rd ball once you lock the two eyes. My guess is the tight lower playfield would have made three balls a chore. Someday I will ask the designers. The lower playfield is fast with the short return lanes and quick right ramp. The upper playfield really slows down the game though. At least repro parts are easy to buy. Get Cliffy's for those expensive ramps. Can't wait for Dutch Pinball to finish their software mod. Wife gets annoyed when I speak of my "other bride."

I never watched the series so I have no bias there. The artwork is a real killer. The music is different but not bad. It has some funny quotes such as when you get a "Super Jackpot" but most get old real quick such as "Gimme the freakin money." It was cool the first 50 times I heard it but after a few games I wanted the sound turned off. The game play wasn't bad but not outstanding. Definitely not enough to make up for the annoying "Jerseylicous" voice samples.

I like the game but not as much as many of the other "A" list games. I guess it is the lack of flow. I prefer faster games. However, I do see why people rate it so highly. The sounds and music are good and quotes are funny. The thunder is awesome with a speaker upgrade. It does have real nice last ability with all the modes. It also has some real good ones which I haven't seen in other pins. The Thing flips was very innovative but I would rather do the flipping. The thing hand is cool the first few times but just takes forever. Got one at a real good price and everyone loves it but me.

This game has real good flow except for the area under the pops which practically stops the ball. The light show is good too. The music is so so but the call outs aren't bad. You can choose between Muldor or Skully, which gives you a different bonus, but there doesn't seem to be that significant a difference. The biggest problem with the game is the overly simplistic ruleset.
8.468/10

Man this game has flow. There are only a few shots which stops the balls travel and that is very short. Ruleset is fairly simple and straightforward but fits the theme. The call outs aren't annoying like in T3. A fast, fun game and great looking when chromed out but wouldn't want it as my only pin but would be good in a collection.

I am NOT a fan of WWF or whatever they call it now. But, the game doesn't play too bad. There is a bunch of stuff to shoot for with a good mix of easy and hard shots. Dots aren't bad either and it does have a video mode which is just a button masher. Don't like the middle ramp so close to the flippers. When the ball doesn't make it up all the way it usually drains SDTM. The voice call outs are typical lame WWF diatribe. If you are a WWF Fan you will love it. The crappy synthesized music is the worst part of this game. Turn the sound down and it will be more fun.

The game is beautiful with a good light show, great art, and cool music. The single ramp and that huge AMP toy take up a lot of space and really limits the game in regards to shots and flow. The good thing is there doesn't seem to be any sucker shots which routinely drop the ball SDTM. The Amp shot is tight and not easy to get all the way in there which adds some challenge. The magnet is cool and much better used than in SM. The dots are muddled as usual for late Sterns. The LE version looks much better but could not notice a difference in game play. Kinda reminds me of a light version of Spiderman. Game is good enough to play but I don't want to own one.

I personally think this is a good theme. Maybe not for the city folk but there are a lot of places where this fits in. Basically any place where hunting and the outdoors are popular. That being said, I'm not impressed with this game. Music is so, so. The voice is not annoying but just uninspiring. Doesn't put me in the mood. The buck, while kinda similar to BDK's crane is nowhere near as fun. And that is when the switch registers, which it often does not. The buck track also diverts the ball's return travel which is annoying. Would have been much better if it were a sea lion. The ram kickback is the best part of the game, but it can be found on IM which is way better. I just found the game to be kinda slow playing and boring. Do not want to own this one or really even play it.

Put more time on this machine and still don't like this one at all. Just found it boring. The ark spilling the balls is cool and there are a lot of DMD scenes but the rest is just uninspiring. The ruleset is so straight forward and no variation. Shoot the ramp over and over again to light extraball and then shoot it some more. Shoot the ark over and over again to start multiball. Shoot the scoop over and over again to light crusade multiball. Shoot the captive target over and over again to open the scoop and then shoot the scoop. Blah. This is Sterns worst pin IMO. I would rather have or play any other Stern than this one.

Real nice artwork. Great DMD animations. Cool toys. Nice amount of humor. I hate auto plungers and couple that with a crappy, no-skill, skill shot and it seems like a wasted chance here. The game has good flow on the ramps and orbits but the ball is stopped at the saucer, catapult and castle. Rule set is very simple, basically make a few shots, start multiball, make a few more shots and repeat. It is fun to play and I understand why people loved it on location but it just has no legs.

I'm not a basketball fan so I'm not drawn to the theme but I like the game enough to have purchased it. The scoring method is different, cool and fits the theme well. If you are a thrasher you won't do well. Kinda need to do combos or be in a mode to score big. Spamming the center ramp usually only gives you one point. Once you figure out the strategy it is more fun. The match sequence is a remote control car race. What does that have to do with Basketball? The linked play seems cool but I have yet to test that out. I really enjoy playing this but don't think it would be good as your only pin.

Very dark game. Too dark. I would add some spot lights if I owned this. You can barely see the Freddy head. Artwork is ok. Videos are blurry, kinda like SM and IM. Game play is actually not bad. There are some long shots and short ones. Game flow is disrupted by the use of VUKs instead of ramps. Ruleset isn't deep but still is fun. A lot more fun than I thought it would bethough not good enough to make my wishlist.

Fun game with lots of flow. The theme is good. Artwork is ok. Video mode is fun and challenging if you go fast. Rest of the dots are ok. Is it me or does the driver look like Hank Hill from King of the Hill? I like the use of the shifter. Music is great but does start to get annoying after a long bit of play. Background cop radio chatter really adds to the ambiance, especially during multiball. Not the deepest ruleset but I think that is what makes this so much fun.

Artwork is good but I think they should have left off some actors from the backglass. Do they really have to put every actor in the movie on there? Quotes were ok but the stand in actor's voices sucked. The crane toy is awesome but the tilting crane/bridge is useless as well as the Joker can. Gameplay is very fun though and fast. The lightshow is real good too. What I didn't like; Balls rolling back down the ramp will drain SDTM. The Scarecrow VUK has a jamming problem if more than one ball goes in the hole, which is easy to do but seems to be fixed in the newer code. Game is much better with the new code. On my wish list.

My biggest gripe about this game is the lighting. It has a very dark playfield. Could really use some spots on each slingshot. Also, the artwork on the plastics is very low res and dotty. Can barely make out what is on the slingshots. I like the rest of the artwork because it is green and different from other machines. The sound quotes are kinda funny but not overly so. The play is ok, but too easy. Expect very long ball times, even with the outlanes set to wide. Perfect for a kid or beginner. I do prefer games with more flow though. I don't mind them reskinning pins, especially with a controversial title. Never played FG to compare them. While somewhat fun, its not on my wishlist.

Had this and a Whirlwind in a local arcade when I was a teen. It was ok but I generally only played it when Whirlwind was occupied. The bell is cool and the artwork top notch but the play is kinda basic. Not on my wishlist.

OK game. The artwork and license are the only thing going for it. Even for it's day, it is just so, so. I wouldn't pay the high price this sells for. Have two in crappy condition for sale by me and they each want more for it than a fully working "normal" pin of that era in good condition.

A local guy had one of these for sale but unfortunately wanted too much. But it was fun to play for a bit. Better than the Wii version. Too easy to get high scores so the lastability is an issue, at least for me. A great game from that era though.

This was cool back in the day because of the spinning backglass and the lower playfield. But the gameplay for me is not that great. Doesn't keep me wanting to play it longer than a couple of games. There are more fun games from that era.

Used to play this as a kid when Pinbot was being hogged. Didn't really like it then but it is growing on me. The playfield artwork is decent but the backglass is awesome. Music is super cheesy but catchy. Really gets the adrenaline pumping. The drawbridge ramp shot is the only difficult one IMO. The flow is great but it gets kinda repetitive.

Great artwork. R2D2 toy is cool. DMD animations are good. Shots are way too easy, especially that ramp. Kinda hard to miss it even when you try. Good number of modes though. Backgound music is a Manheim Steamroller's version of the Star Wars theme. Annoying but the quality is good. Fast playing. Rules are way unbalanced. Spam the ramp for points.

Generally fast game except for the glove and where the ball dribbles out of the pops. It wouldn't be so bad if the glove didn't have to travel so far. I like the call outs except for the long distance phone call. Ruleset is actually pretty well done for its time. If you don't spam the spinner the game gets much more interesting. Music is good. I like the artwork except for the backglass. I wish someone would make another. Light show is good except there are no flashers in the backbox and the game is dark (add spotlights). Powerdown mode is one of the coolest I have played. I own this game.

This is basically just an EM design with SS components. Basic game play, nothing spectacular. Fun for an old machine. Artwork is good but not great. Easy to get the Special. I can imagine this getting alot of play back in the day because of this. Being before Stern used a soundboard, it has chimes so there is no music, voices or sound effects. I just set these ratings to decent as there is no N/A option.

Played one of these in surprisingly good shape at a local pub. I like the artwork. The rules are too simple and there is not enough to shoot for. I was surprised at how easy the ball drains down the sides. Expect short ball times. A fun game for a bit but wouldn't want to own it.

I don't play golf at all and I really like this game. It has a bunch of different shots to go for and a decent rule set. I don't find the gofers annoying like some people. It's fun and I would like to own one. Have to make sure the playfield under the drop ramp isn't destroyed.

Good classic drop target fun. The game had all the bells and whistles for that era except multiball but the design was likely already completed when Firepower came out. And truthfully, two balls would be too many on this tight PF. The extra flippers actually have a purpose. Game play is fast with newly rebuilt flippers. Multiple ways to build bonus and increase scoring. Left orbit and the right rollover are tight and not easily made. The outlanes are too well protected which provides long ball times if you can keep it from draining SDTM off the center drops. The swooshing surf background sound, while not exciting, fits the theme and is a lot better than other games of the era. Backglass artwork is beautiful and the playfield artwork is really good too. Side art is average but blends with the theme. IMO this game would have sold much better if it came out 6 months prior but it couldn't compete with Firepower.

Fast game but unforgiving of mistakes. The two lane 'skill shot' takes no skill and is lame. Why even bother. Need to remove the ball stop to make it a challenge and improve the flow. The random magnet throw is cool as long as it doesn't randomly throw it into a drain. The right ramp drain issue has a fix but you likely won't see it on location. Music is real good, reminds me of Metallica's S&M album. DMD suffers from same blur problems as SM. Could use more depth to the rules, only has a few modes. Could also benefit from a 'Combo counter' like in SM and other games. Maybe with future code update? Has some cool features but not as good as Spiderman IMO.

Nice simple and fast layout with great flow. The simple rule set will fool you into thinking this is an easy game to beat. The backglass and cabinet artwork are great. Music is good and DMD animations and sound affects are great with some fun quotes. A very fun game.

Beautiful artwork throughout. The DMD animations and voice are good and I like that she tells you what shots you need to make. Music's nice. With two orbits and ramps that return the ball to the inlanes, this game as super flow. Love that reverse ramp. This is probably the highest scoring game I've ever played, at least on the original EPROMs. I hit over 200 mil on my first game and I didn't even do well. I can see flipping the score on this easily. Not sure if the newer software version adjusted the scores down any. This game play reminds me of MB though with a more sophisticated theme. I can understand why people love this game. My only gripe is the lack of a plunger skill shot. They might as well installed an auto plunger for all the good the manual one is used for.

This game's artwork and lightshow are really good. Would look great with LEDs. Nicole Kidman actually looks good but I wish there was more of her. I like the green wireforms because they are so different and goes well with the Riddler theme. The Batwing cannon is a cool toy but the Batcave annoys me because it makes that side of the game feel cluttered and dark. The animations look great on that huge DMD. It has a bunch of good quotes from the movie. The playfield is fairly open with some long shots but the game is kinda left flipper heavy. There are a bunch of modes and most require accurate shots to accomplish. The game has very good flow and speed for a widebody. The cabinet and playfield are very sturdy and this is probably the heaviest pin I've had to carry. Unfortunately the pistol grip is plastic and gives a cheap feel to the game. Wish it were made of metal like IJ's. Anyway, this game looks and sounds great, is fun to play, and is a bargain at the going price.

The best parts of this game are the three music choices (ZZ Top, Music Factory and LW3 soundtrack) and the Gun modes. I don't like auto plungers but at least with this game you actually use the gun for skillshot and modes, similar to Jurassik Park. This keeps you on your toes as you have to take your hand off the flipper to squeeze the trigger and hope you don't drain the ball in the interim. The flow wasn't bad. Joe Pesce's voice call got annoying real quick but apparently the newest EPROM update gets rid of this. This is a decently fun game to play. Not a top 50 pin for sure, but still very underrated. Definitely better than 200. Because of this it is priced cheap. Good for a first pin.

This game looks and sounds great. Love the artwork all over. Lots of good video too. The dragstrip toy is the coolest. The flow is awesome on this and that ball can get moving super fast. This machine is an outlane magnet which is mitigated somewhat by the left kickback. I rarely lose the ball down the middle. The playfield is pretty well balanced with a ramp, target and lane for each of the three flippers. The modes rely heavily on the left flippers and right ramp and it only has a few modes which repeat themselves if you are good enough. What I like the most are the Combos. It counts repeat loop shots. You also get "racetrack" bonuses for making different lane/ramp/target combos. There are 3 video modes, 2 are flipper mashers but in 1 you have to give gas and shift in a quick drag race. Don't blow the engine. Wizard mode is kinda lame though. The match sequence is cool in that the mechanic is checking the VINs and exclaims "The numbers match!" This is a fun machine but I wish it had more varied modes.

Drove about 25 miles to play this game and was disappointed. Granted, the version I played had a non-working left kicker and drops so maybe I missed something. I found the playfield dark and hard to see. The quotes were as lame as the movie. I probably will never play this one again.

For a simply laid out game, it has some surprisingly difficult shots. The artwork and quotes are good. The sound quality was not very good and seemed muffled, at least on the machine I played. There seemed to be a lot of unused space as the ball would often bounce around not hitting anything. It was fun while I was playing it but I'm not sure how long that will last at home once I master those few shots. There is one for sale near me and I am considering whether or not to buy it.

The artwork is pretty good on this pin. The coolest part of the game is the Joker face. The gameplay isn't all that fun. The ramp is smack dab in the middle of the playfield and divides it into two halves and obstructs a good portion of the upper playfield. The ball drains down the center easily, especially if you hit that ramp wrong. Looks good but plays mediocre. Definitely won't buy this one.

Artwork is ok but dots are good. The talking heads are twice as cool as Funhouse. They don't annoy me as much as Rudy does. The game flows ok. Better than I would have thought by looking at it. Play is not fast by any means though. I do have fun playing it.

A very funny pin but definitely not for kids. The animations are good and they incorporate a lot of the minor characters in them. Good funny quotes. The game play was way too easy, though. The Cartman hole is big enough to fit a satellite dish through it. Even the bumper shot was simple. My first play, without having read the rules, scored about 150 mil. Modes were simple and uninspired. Shoot a character 5 times, then shoot him again in a certain time limit for the points. Boring. The humor and artwork is this games only good point.

Challenging game with short ball times. Don't like the playfield artwork. TRex has to be the coolest toy in pinball, when it works. Sounds are good but the quality sucks. I would have to upgrade the speakers. Sounds tinny. Fun game.

Relatively easy to keep the ball in play as long as you can don't shoot the center drop target. Shame because this is a required shot to lock the ball and will almost always result in a fast shot SDTM. The RPG was cool at first but is too easy and quickly lost its appeal. Flow is real nice as usual for a SR game. The red theme, while fitting and different, just didn't look all that great to me. The sounds and music were ok. Arnie's monotone voice gets annoying. Could have used some lines from the other actors to add some urgency or variety. I hate auto plungers no matter how cool they make the "button." Couldn't get into this one and could care less if I play this pin again.

Played this for a few hours at a local Pizza joint for 25 cents a game mainly because it was 25 cents a game. I'm not really into Soccer. The goalie is a great toy which both blocks and catches the ball but that is the high point of this game. The ramps are a bit steeper than I think they have to be. Artwork's not that great. The commentators are so so. Music was bland but not annoying. Overall a very mediocre pin. Could care less if I ever play it again.

Bright and colorful game. Works the theme well. The modes are straight from the show. I love the animated backglass which draws different animals out of the hat. The game seemed simple to me. Casual players with younger kids would be ok with it but advanced players would get bored quickly. It does have pretty good flow. The quotes are good but there didn't seem to be all that many of them. Found it annoying that the ball would drain down the middle when coming down the left orbit unless I set the playfield to way off level.

The pop up ball lock mechanism is reminiscent of Pinbot but better. The PF is also better balanced and there's more to do. I love the Dr. Who theme song. This is a pretty fun machine. It does drain down the sides very easily, just like Pinbot. As much as I like Pinbot, I like this one better.

This game is easy but a whole lot of fun. All 4 ramps bring the ball back to the flippers but the flow is just ok. Not a very fast game. Layout reminded me of Whirlwind. Artwork on the playfield is great and the backglass is good. I think it played it's theme well. I actually felt like I was playing the board game. The gimmicks are the lighted Monopoly board in the playfield (which light up to show you your token's location and which properties you own), the Bank vault door, and the spinning water works flipper. After playing a perfectly operating machine, I found myself playing it over and over and having a whole lot of fun with it. I actually wouldn't mind owning one of these.

Play is good, artwork is bright and cheery, Backglass isn't great but what can you do with Pat other than leave him off it. The wheel is pretty but would have been real cool if they put it in the backbox in place of Pat. Light show is great. The outlane and center drain design is unusual by today's standards but reminiscent of the old EMs and requires a good skill at nudging. Several of the shots are tight and require a bit of strategic selection to do well. These two factors are probably why people either like the game or not. The more I play it the more I like it. I just wish they finished the code.

Love the Guitar riffs sound on this and the artwork. Kinda simple rules but the speed off those standup targets in that tight lower playfield makes spelling SORCERER to get to the special quite dangerous. IMO this game came 5 years too late. Seems more like a late 70's game than a mid-80s offering. And what's with the ABCD lanes? Couldn't they come up with a 4 letter word that has to do with magic? How about MANA or RUNE or MAGI or CULT? Anything is better than ABCD!

This is a fun older game. Used to play this alot at the local 7-11 when I was a teenager. Good flow. No real sucker shots. Good theme. Easy to figure out. Some difficult shots, like Santa. This was a very popular pin when it first came out. I remember playing this a lot as a kid at the beach. The voice was a little intimidating to an 8 year old. lol. Very fun game. I love the quotes, the three video modes and the 6 ball multiball is awesome. The music and artwork are great. I especially like the fact that the color scheme is way different from most other machines. The orange really stands out in a line up. With 12 modes and a couple of other goals there is a lot of stuff to do on this game. The only drawbacks to me are the auto plunger (I hate them), no skill shot and the ball bounces out of the mode hole when hit hard but this can be mitigated with some Pinbits no-rebound foam and proper adjustment of the stop. Also, the game seems bouncy in the lower half, will try black rubber when these wear out. At least the auto plunger looks like a gun which is a whole lot better than a stupid button but it isn't used for anything like it is in LW3 or JP so is kinda wasted. Flippers need to be in top shape to make it up to the Path of Adventure. What I like about this widebody is the lower playfield is normal width so it doesn't feel like a widebody. This one's a keeper.

Rule set is more broad than deep but gives you lots to shoot for at any one time. The theme is silly but that's the point. It's actually perfect for both kids and adults. This game has it all. Good flow. Great dots and artwork. Lots of cool toys that actually do stuff. The music rocks and it has a multitude of hilarious quotes. I know auto plungers were standard in the 90s but I hate them. At least there is a skill shot, if basic and easy. Only negative is the dark lower playfield. Exceedingly fun pin. One of my favorites. Would love to own one of these.

Love this game. Music rocks. Artwork and light show are great and it has some funny quotes. I like how there are multiple quotes for the same shot so you don't hear the same thing over and over. The DMD animations could be better as they are very muddled. Some just look like a blob and I have no idea what they are supposed to show. At least you can skip them by hitting both buttons. It is pretty fast and I love the flow. Toys look nice and there are some great aftermarket stuff. Shaker is a must and well integrated. Think the magnet could have been better used. Not a lot of difficult shots but this is not a stop and shoot game. Rule set is good but not as deep as LOTR and TSPP. Defeating the villains is simple and straight forward but there is more to the game than it seems at first glance. Finally was able to buy one, YEAH!

Fun game. This game seems to have a set of quotes for each sensor which changes depending on mode. Probably the most voice calls on any machine. Great artwork and lighting. Crowded playfield with a lot of tight shots. Not much flow. Despite the theme I don't think this is a good game for a kid due to the difficulty. A whole lot to do for the advanced player though. I played this for several hours and didn't even come close to all it had to offer. Even though I like games with a bit more flow I want this for my collection because I know it would take a lot of games to beat it.

I like this machine. The playfield seems really crowded to look at but it doesn't feel all that cramped when you play it. Good use of space. The flow isn't that great, more of a shooter game. There was a lot to do and shoot. That pirate ship is a home run. Sounds fit the theme but it was so loud in the room I couldn't tell that wasn't Johnny Depp's voice, bummer. Art was good and the light show was awesome. My biggest complaint is the game has to be set up correctly or the ball will drain down the center when rolling back down one of the ramps or lanes. And most of the games on location are not leveled correctly and finding that sweet spot is a PITA without a level. I would like to own one but not before SM, IM or LOTR.

First time playing a pinball 2000. The video is a cool idea and the modes are awesome. I just hate the location of the monitor. Not being able to see the back portion of the playfield still annoys me to no end. This particular machine had no rules so I had no idea what to shoot or when. That being said, the game was very simple to play. Shots were pretty much straight forward without much skill necessary. Game seems to rely on the video modes for variety but I want a pinball not video game. Good things, this game doesn't seem to drain down the sides much, most drains were straight down the middle if you missed the center ramp(?) shot. Kinda got bored of this one quickly. Wouldn't want this in my collection.

I like the wide open playfield with all those drop targets. Gives the game a very old school feel. This isn't your typical fast flowing SR design. Both ramps and both VuKs stop the ball. The Ace in the hole in the upper playfield is a cool idea. The backglass art is horrible, but the rest was good. Even though I don't play poker I enjoy playing this game.

Surprisingly good game except this thing is a drain monster. The out lanes are wide open from the top and it seems anytime the ball comes anywhere close to the sides, it gets sucked in and down the out lanes, even with the posts in the closest setting. Love the dancing Elvis toy. The shots were varied and some were quite difficult for me, like the Heartbreak Hotel shot. Could have been more going on in the upper play field. Song selection and quotes were good and not too repetitive. Dot matrix animations were cool too. I would play this again and if it weren't for the constant drains, I would buy it.

I thought this was a decent game. There was lots to do and wasn't too difficult to figure out. The roulette wheel was a neat idea and the multiple dot matrix games keep you involved. Couldn't really get into this one. The ball running around the track is cool but not cool enough to make me want to play it. What is really annoying is the ball would routinely eject from the test car straight down the middle on three different machines. Other than this, game play was simple and straightforward. Maybe I am missing something but I could care less if I played this again.

The playfield was kinda dark for my tastes. The glo balls were cool to look at but seemed to have different physics than a steel ball. Didn't like the way they moved around. Even despite the ball saver this machine was a drain monster. The ball saver was probably added later just to make the game playable. Activating it is kinda awkward as the button is on the front of the machine. Would take some getting used to. Not sure what Devils Tower has to do with car racing? Music was cool and the sounds didn't seem to get too repetetive, but certain shots made gun sounds, which didn't seem to have anything to do with the game. Play was fast and the rules weren't difficult to figure out. Generally fun but the constant drains right down the center were quite annoying. Wouldn't want this in my collection. The match feature is a bug splattering on the windshield which I thought was cool.

Used to play this a bunch in the local mall arcade when I was a kid. A very fun game. Nice flow. Not super difficult. The spinners were real cool when they first came out. I love the randomizing effect they have on the ball's travel. The ball can get moving real fast if they hit the spinners just right. The fan was a great idea. The artwork matches the theme well. Arguably the best pre-DMD game out there. Would love to own one some day.

My first widebody game. Very slow, the ball spends a lot of time moving around but not doing anything. Backglass and playfield art are great but since they were done by two different artists, don't really match. The cabinet artwork could have been done better. What does a ringed planet have to do with a gym? How about a chick in a bikini? The background noise is a continuous "flying saucer" sound. Annoying, but at least you can turn it off.

I have the LE and love the way it looks. Even though there are a lot of things which stop the ball for a couple seconds, most of the lanes/ramps sends the ball back to the flippers. The only target that is really annoying is the Palintir, shots off left flipper routinely get rocketed back down the middle drain. Each mode and shot has it's own voice call but they are the same each time you hit it. There are so many modes it will be a long time before I master this one, if ever. Shaker is well integrated in the LE. Bought this without ever playing it because of the theme and the LE rerun. I am glad I did because I love it. Definitely a worthy addition to anyone's game room.

Played this for a while at my local 7-11. It was fun. Was a drain monster, but that might just have been how that particular one was set up. Elvira's quotes are comical and the light show was pretty cool. Did not like the repetetive ramp shots. That alone knocked my fun rating down from excellent. Has some goofy toys but they are in tune with the theme of this game. I wouldn't mind owning but wouldn't go out of my way to get one.

I love this game, especially the background music and sounds. I agree with others in that it does tend to drain easily though this can be mitigated somewhat with slope setting. And there isn't a whole lot to do with the left flipper except shoot the visor. I used to play this everyday after school for months. It's on my wishlist. It will be under my control.

Updated report since I just bought my second one of these pins. It was my first pin and I was able to buy another one in better shape. The play is pretty fast on this game, maybe due to the playfield not being worn out. The sounds actually suit the space theme, thankfully. The background music is ominous and is in keeping with the theme but the tone quickly ramps up to a high pitch proximity warning which gets annoying. I actually like the backglass with the mirroring and fits the movie theme perfectly. I remember watching the movie as a kid. They sent three salvos of nukes at the meteor to destroy it, hence the three 1, 2, 3 drop banks. One rule that is not readily apparent is to get the 1,2,and 3 rockets lined up on the same color row to light the roving WOW and then try and shoot that to collect. Not easy on this deck. I can't wait until CPR runs their repros. I hear you can mod to the 7 digit displays with a ROM which would make it harder to roll the scores, not that I do it that often. This game really looks good with LEDs IMO as the inserts are kinda dark with 44s so I recommend a mod to put them in.

Top gun theme without the License. Has the typically bad Gottlieb translite which kills the ratings. Game has no voices. Music is very 80s synth. Sounds fit the theme. The topper is pretty cool. Had a lot of time on one of these as a teen so I ended up buying one from a friend for nostalgia sake. This machine has no out lanes but it is designed to allow a Lazarus save. If a ball drains with speed, it sometimes would bounce over to the other side of the playfield and back on top of the opposite flipper. The playfield is cluttered due to the split playfield but it has a couple of u-turns which makes the lower right play fast. I shape the loop into an elliptical to get the ball to go all the way round easier. Making that shot is rewarding. I pull the fuse from the siren as it is LOUD.
