good 'learning' game for people not familiar with pinball rules. Might be 'too simple' for pinheads. I have a lot of fun playing it. Does get repetitive though.

The flipper gap on this machine seems HUGE. Did not have fun playing it.

This game has extremely complex rules and a very boring layout. Which makes it both confusing, and boring. I'd probably spend more time on it if the artwork was not just photo cut outs of all the actors. I feel like some of these 'movie/tv show' themed tables just look like a big 'scrapbook' some super fan put together from magazine clippings.

Ive owned this machine for a few years now. The only complaint i have with it is the lane diverter is notoriously buggy and can be a frustrating road block when you are 'in the zone' on your way to a high score.

Ghostbusters is an advanced level of difficulty. If you are new to pinball, or just dont have a very high skill level in controlling the ball and aiming shots, you will become very frustrated with this machine.

I have played this game a lot out in public venues, and have had a hard time figuring out If I like it or not.

On one hand, the rules are pretty fun, the shots challenging, the sound effects are great, and the music is Danny Elfman, so there's nothing to complain about there. I love the 'couch' multiball, and I find the upper playfield challenging and fun. I love that the pop bumpers are the powerplant towers.

The downside is that this playfield is SUPER narrow and crowded. The ball doesn't have a lot to do except be ricocheted right back at the drain most of the time. For an advanced player, this may not be a problem. There is a lot of challenging shots on this game, and If you own your own machine and keep it up in good condition, you can probably be really good and reliable in your gameplay.

Out in the wild however this machine suffers from some pretty big problems. I was at a public place yesterday and dropped about $5 worth of credits on a machine that was just slightly leaning to the left. The problem with this is that all the playfield elements come out to about the center of the lane, so any time the ball lost momentum, and slid down those ramps, it would slowly lean left, and drop it straight down the drain. Likewise, the left outlane was eating balls like crazy. The upper playfield had a weak flipper, so multiball was impossible, and because the general layout is so claustrophobic and 'blocked' there isn't really any way to have fun at that point.

I have played lots of games that have non finctioning elements to them in the wild, (pirates ship feature, tron disc, LOTR balrog, etc...) And while those elements make the game impossible to progress, I still find myself having some level of fun with the other ramps and features. With simpsons though, It just isn't fun unless everything is working properly.

Found 2 of these machines at the Arcade expo in Banning CA last month and it was one of my favorite machines of the day. Fairly simple layout and rules, but very enjoyable. The heavy metal rocker theme is so cheese-tastic and the guitar sound effects whenever you hit ramps and orbits feel fantastic.

If you like advanced or expert machines, this probably isn't for you. But as a meat and potatoes casual pinball table, this machine is fantastic. It's on my top 10 machines to own. Hope I find one I can afford someday.

ugh... I try to understand what people like about this table. I just don't get it. The 'music' on this table is the most annoying thing Ive ever heard come out of a pin.

Ive been trying to like this game, but it just wont let me. I don't like the rubber ball, and some ramps seem aimed to drain. The ring master and high wire multiball are the best parts of this table.

was on vacation all last week and the hotel I stayed in had a Tron table in the arcade. I probably played it 60 - 70 times over the course of the week. Its got a fun playfield, I like the ramps, the spinning rez disc at the top, and the skillshot into Flynn's arcade is nicely set up. The music on this table is from the film's soundtrack, and you cant go wrong with Daft Punk. Though in the arcade setting it was hard to hear it.

The playfield artwork is well done but I have to say I'm disappointed that they didn't do something a little more minimal and less photo heavy. I would have preferred they made it look like it belonged in the grid, all black with lit running ribbons and symbols. Not that there is anything wrong with the way the playfield looks, I just think they missed an opportunity to do something unique and out of the box with this, instead of being the predictable playfield treatment all tables get.

I have mixed feelings about the gameplay of this table. On one side I had a ton of fun playing, but on the other I found it very difficult to break the 5 Million mark on my scores. I did end up with a High score of 27 Million, but only a handful of games ever got above 5. I tended to have the ball drop perfectly between the flippers, or be repeatedly sent to the out lanes after hitting just about anything on the field. Every machine plays different, even if they are the same playfield. They had a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' there as well, and I had a blast playing very long games on it, while any other place Ive played pirates its always been extremely unforgiving and short unpleasant games. So I think there just might be something about this Tron machine that was keeping my games short.

anyway, its a fun game but I don't think I'd want to own it.

It's a fun game, but Its not on my 'to own' list. Great sounds and artwork. The theme is funny and the rules are solid.

Really good game, though I didn't find it very challenging, I did have a lot of fun with it. Great ramps. The artwork is fantastic. The music gets repetitive and annoying quickly.

Really nice machine. Its not incredibly challenging, its just casual fun. Its a good machine for people who don't have a ton of experience with pinball. the rules are clear, and there's a lot of nice easy ramp action. Beautiful artwork, love the swords worked into the ramps.

Its a fun machine. had a blast on it for bout an hour. Not a huge elvis fan, so the theme doesnt hold my attention, and the 'flash bulb' effect that they use is pretty annoying as it briefly blinds you during the game. Other than that great machine, probably more so if your an elvis fan.

Played this Machine about a dozen times at a local bowling alley. Had a lot of fun with it. The roulette table is probably my favorate component, and the slot machine ramp is always exciting to hit. The casino theme is a great idea for a pin because of all the fun random elements of a casino are designed to keep you excited and hoping for a big score.

When I saw it listed as being built in 2001 I was amazed, this machine feels like a late 70's early 80's design. The art, the sounds, even the really bad vacu-formed plastic components inside, it all looked so dated. Also the cheesy cowboy and ANOYING woman voices on the machine don't help.

Its a fun machine, but I'd play it with the volume down. Also wish they haden't put such cheap components in it.

My only experience with this machine is a very used pin that had most of its lights out, the sound turned down to almost nothing, and a non working t-rex (I assume he was supposed to move). So if I ever find a restored game I'll come back and re-evaluate it.

I found the game to be pretty fun and not overly frustrating. It was pretty easy to get the ball to hit ramps and you always felt like you were accomplishing things. The T-rex 'rumble' countdown is very exciting and a lot of fun. The 'bunker' (and another building) pockets seem too close and easy to get into though. I found myself hitting the ball in there by accident over and over and sense it holds the ball for a good 3 seconds it kinda threw the rhythm of the game off for me.

I loved the movie as a kid, and enjoyed my plays but could not be wowed by this severely worn out machine. looking forward to playing on a machine that has seen some more love.

Fantastic Machine. At first I found the play field to be awkwardly wide open, but after playing for a while I got used to it and had a blast playing it a dozzen times or so. I'm a big Dr Who fan so the theme caught me, and I love all the little elements of the show that were put into the table. Even when you get a new ball it doesnt say "Ball 1" it says "Part 1" as if you were watching episodes of the old TV series.

The Dalek's are an awesome touch, especially the topper. The playfield is simple, but challenging. It feels like very old school pinball design. Not a ton of ramps and moving toys, but still a good quality experience.

One design flaw I found is that there is a spot just bellow the 3 bumpers where the ball can get caught very easily and stuck. It happened to me the first time I played it.

If I ever get to a point that I can afford to have my own collection of pins, this one is high on my list to get.

Strange table. very closterphobic, and lots of ugly design choices. Feels like someone dumped their kids toy box into the cabinet. Tons of colors, tons of ramps, a troll doll? everything is a different color from everything else, and its very confusing. I played it a dozen times at a local bowling alley, and had fun flipping the ball around, but not a clear idea of what the rules were. Also I don't know if the cabinet is always that dark inside or if the owners needed to replace a light.

Played this table a dozen times and found it very frustrating. The theme is nice, the sinking ship is neat, but the table seems set up to drain the ball a LOT. I think the flippers are set about 1/4 an inch too far apart in my opinion. I had a very hard time picking up any kind of steam with it. I would probably play it a lot more if I owned it, but pumping .75 per credit into it was just not a lot of fun for such a frustrating game.

EDIT: I played another Pirates at a different location and it was a TON of fun! I discovered that the operator of the other pirates table (A bowling alley in Irvine) has put different flippers on his machine, which appear to be slightly smaller than the stock flippers that came with the machine, which obviously causes the ball to drain more. also the peg that the ball bounces off of when exiting the hold after hitting the ship seems to have been removed, or modified so that the ball would be more likely to drop straight down the middle when released. It was also nearly impossible to go up the Tortuga ramp on the bowling alley machine, while the theme park machine would get me up it every time I hit the ramp.

Again, gave this a second chance in a new locationand had a ton of fun playing it! With the table in un-modified working order my games were much longer and enjoyable.

My uncle in Michigan owns this machine. Been in the family for over 40 years. I grew up playing it, and when we visit on vacations Ive spent many many hours in the basement on it. That Might make me Bias but I think its a great machine! The rules are very simple, there isnt a lot of complexity to the playfield. Sad that there is no pics of it here on the site (at the time i'm writing this) I have some photos, I'll see if I can mail them to the team.
