Finally put in a few hours on this last night. Unbelievable. Call outs are important to me and they are weak here, but the genre-redefining lighting and in-song experience is even more overwhelming as a consequence. Most fun I’ve had playing a new release.

Deadpool (Pro) Stern, 2018
Good shots, though weird shooter lane capture. Could have used more variation in battles - eg 5 possible instead of 3. I don’t care for the playfield art. Fun game, has the potential for improvement on code updates.

One of the best layouts ever. Theme integration is great for a band-themed game. Lowest point is the call outs.

Good game. Sounds very repetitive and not always in sync with game play. Some very challenging shots.

Aerosmith (Pro) Stern, 2017
Probably the most glitchy machine I've ever played. Toy box is cool but glitchy. I like the upper playfield. Feel like they could have picked more and/or better songs. Animations are subpar. I'm not a big fan of the band, but I feel that the theme is probably not deep enough for big fans and not accessible enough for those familiar with Aerosmith but not fans.

The Hobbit Jersey Jack, 2016
Playfield is barren. Another physical feature like Gollums cave, barrel escape, shooting the black arrow, etc would be welcome. Best feature is the art and sound. Play is not varied enough.

White Water Williams, 1993
Upping my lastability rating as I have consistently more fun on this game than any other and keep coming back. Yes, it’s not very deep, but no game is more fun to shoot. Amazing flow, immediately draws you with the upper playfield design and waterfall, clear progression system, and the iconic Wet Willy voice. One of the best ever.
