Vids and Pins

As a child of the 80's and a teen of the 90's I've been into gaming and pinball for a long time. I originally started out with video games and an Atari 2600, as my mum owned a video rental shop back in the 80's that also rented 2600 games. One of my favourite games on the 2600 was Midnight Magic and that's what got me interested in pinball. However it wasn't until a few years later that I can actually remember playing a lot of pinball for real. There was an Addams Family in a seafront arcade where I used to go on holiday with my family as well as my personal fav, and the one that most of my holiday money went in, an Indiana Jones. However, since those early 90's days and up until this year I hadn't played much pinball and had spent most of my time console gaming and then messing about with MAME cabs.

It was back at the start of this year that I began playing around with Visual Pinball and Future Pinball on my MAME cab and started thinking it would be pretty cool to own a real pinball machine. I did some research and quickly found out that my all time fav IJ was a bit out of my price range for now and I started looking at other pins. Back in May, and for a birthdayday treat to myself, I managed to pick up a really nice WCS for a good price and so I had my first real pin.

Since then I'm now onto my 3rd pin (although WCS was traded as I only have room for 2 at a time), have been to a few of the big UK pin shows and have started playing in the UK pinball league and can honestly say that I love pinball!
