There are several memorable moments in a young boy's life. One of my favorites was when i was 10 years old and my dad brought home a Captain Fantastic pinball machine. Thus began my relationship with pinball. Countless games were played learning that game and its left-side dual in-line flippers (hated the between-flipper drain). In my teen years, after school time spent at ProBowl (Grimsby, Ontario, Canada) steered me away from pinball and towards arcade games (Joust, Donkey Kong Jr, Journey, Bubbles). The next 20 years were largely spent with sporadic pinball playing until hearing about the Pacific Pinball exhibition 5 years ago in Marin county, California. Hundreds of games set to free play and tons of fun with the kids reignited the pinball passion. That introduced us to the museum in Alameda where each of my boys celebrated a birthday with their friends and over 50 games to play. In September of 2010, the time came to add a pinball to my personal game room (already had 3 arcade games). The plan was to buy an Addams family but when i saw the seller also had a Power Play Bobby Orr pinball machine, well, i left with 2 machines that day. i just recently sold the Addams family and purchased #25 of 300 of Back in Black AC/DC pinball and a love affair is in full swoon.
