Taxi is a fun game. Rules are pretty simple and it really doesn't matter if you don't know the rules anyway. Shoot the passengers and the ramps. Enough going on to not be boring, but not so much that it gets confusing to newbs.

Taxi does not take itself seriously at all, with Santa and Drac on the playfield. It also gets bonus points from me for having Gorbachev on the playfield. I wonder if he's the only Soviet leader to appear on a pinball machine?

Cool machine. My first encounter with a shaker motor (many years ago). Scared the crap out of me the first time. Still love it.

Just don't like the concept.
I get that this is an experiment with something different. It may be good for some people, but not for me.
Nice that Stern was willing to experiment, but this just didn't work out, in my opinion.

O.K., the theme is sort of wierd. Castles and cannons in space.......or something.
But once past that, the game play is really good.
The novelty backbox shot may be dated, but it's a good effort and I like it.
Should also get some sort of award for the tallest machine ever.

Like the tropical theme. Great for winter play here in Michigan. Can just feel the beach while playing.
The tic-tac-toe matrix in the center of the playfield is a neat feature. The center target shot is just asking for a drain right down the center. Pretty challenging for a somewhat basic game. Overall result is fun play.

Seems to me like a slightly under-rated game.
Three ball multiball that's not too hard to get plus a cool theme and great sound.
The upper playfield is neat, but could have been bigger with more to do.
Think I'll be keeping mine, since it is very fun to play.

First pin that I played much, and I love it.
I own one now, and play it alot.
The multiball just doesn't last long, but that's about the only flaw.
The art, playfield, robo-voice, and music all fit together to make a very cool machine.

Love this machine.
Lots of variety. Multiple multiballs. Shaker motor. Talking heads. Cool DMD animations.
What else could you ask for?

I love this game. It's dated now, but for 1981 was cutting edge. Still love the look and the play. The rotating black hole backglass is somewhat simple, but a really cool effect. I love the lower playfiled. That idea still holds up well today. Bought one and confirmed that it's still a great game. Fun to play and cool to look at.
