My teen years were in the late seventies and early eighties, so Arcade games were all the rage. I LIVED on Donkey Kong. But I always loved Pinball. It was rare in those days for the local arcades to have more than a couple of pins, and they were seldom if ever in a state of proper repair. Fast forward 30 plus years and I now have the room and means to own my own pins. I first bought a couple of EM Gottliebs which got me started, but I quickly found myself wanting faster pins and more to do. Then I picked up a refurbished Data East Chck Point and I was hooked. Bright lights, DMD, lots of speed and action! Two weeks later I bought a Gottlieb Waterworld that was refurbed, and a Williams High speed that was in rough shape and needed much love. I have brought the High speed back to life and love the gameplay. This week I ordered my first brand new pin, a Stern Star Trek which I am anxiously awaiting the arrival next week. I am planning to add the awesome looking Aurich translight and graphic mods ASAP. So with starting my collection less than 6 months ago, I will have 6 pins going. I can see how people get addicted and keep changing the "wallpaper" as you get bored. I have rooms for lots of pins, so I expect the collection to grow in the coming months and years.
