This is definitely an under rated game. Everyone that I have spoken to in the past, either loves it or hates it. I guess looking through the lens of the original Firepower, it doesn't have 3 ball multiball. Never bothered me. The game is challenging and tough to crack 2 million points on. It is also very unforgiving. You either get a great game going or you get a stdm game that makes you quit after 2 balls. They are usually pretty cheap, grab when you see them.

Beautiful game to look at. Tough old bird too. This game will throw some new comers for a loop when they have to load the ball manually. There is also a massive space in between the flippers, so you better choose your shots carefully. Get this thing all lit up with the backglass moving makes for a great game. Started playing this game in 1994 when my uncle brought one home with a Stern Meteor, great games on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Great card themed EM, almost as good as High Hand, but still very good. Surprised to see it as low as it is. Challenging game, drop targets make it a sweet setup in a collection of EM pins. Had this next to Super Spin, Target Alpha, and Grand Prix, that made some noise when those 4 got going!

Great EM!!!! Classic Gottlieb machine, nice animated backglass makes it seem like a cool old hold over from the 60's. Nice artwork, fits in great with any mid-70's pinball collection. Can be a little loud, but kids and first timers love it. I would buy another one given the chance.

Ok, so who wants to own one of the most off tempo games ever? Imagine this, you have your pinball collection all lit up, some colleagues come over after work on a Friday to play pinball and you fire this this thing up. All you need to say now is “Anyone want a Harvey Wallbanger to drink?” Seriously, what the heck is this thing? Everyone is in tip top shape except for the dude on the back glass who they forgot to give a neck. Why is his head like way into his collar bone? Nothing like chasing a scantily clad lady around at the gym, am I right? In 2019, that would make the news. 1970s, naw, just make it a pinball. Throw in some muscle dudes and chicks making weird non workout poses and you have a pinball! This thing plays like a bowl of soup. Ever sit on the floor of a 1970 Toronado? It’s like that. You roll around because there is a ton of space, but you can’t go anywhere. I always feel like the ball wants to jump into the game next to it and get out of the future. Drop targets can be a challenge, but it has to be waxed to perfection. No pun intended. This thing is not a game I would want in my collection. I have tried it more times than I care to admit, but this thing is a bloated cow of 70s sappy body building. Who green lighted this? Hit that guy with a tack hammer. Topper for this game should be a big bottle of ‘Brut’, a bag of chest hair and bottle of East German steroids. Creepy.

I get trucking was somehow a pop culture thing in the late 70’s and why not blend “Smokey and the Bandit”, “Convoy” and pinball? Well, you put a very nice looking young lady and a guy who looks like he just traded his creepy white van for a tractor trailer and you get this game. Seriously, was trucking that popular that the people at Bally were saying “Well, we have run out of ideas people. We need something fresh!” How about a mustachioed dude who looks like he is ready for another 64 oz Big Gulp and another gas station hot dog, with a lady 20 years his junior, but waaaaaay out of his league. Oh, and the gameplay, about as exciting as a rerun of “Sanford and Son”. This poor game dates itself before 1980 and gets stuck there. Drop targets are ok, but the rest is a game that could have been made in 1967. The topper for this game should be a bottle of ‘Gold Bond Powder’, a 2 liter of 'Diet Mr. Pibb', and a carton of ‘Winston’ cigarettes. Yawn fest. Skip it.

Ok, so played it at Expo 2010, played a couple great games, went out and found another one to buy. Shopped it, played a few rounds, hated it. Couldn’t believe how bad it was after about 5 games. There are clear deflectors all over this game to prevent the ball from getting stuck on top of plastics, ramps, etc. What a pile. $10,000,000 points for pulling the plunger? Really? The spinner is cool, but after it is done throwing 5 balls all over and you smack them against the glass, you wonder did someone forget how to design a game where the balls stay near the playfield? Were there hidden ramps under the playfield? I couldn’t believe that there were not reports of owners smashing the glass during gameplay with how often the ball strikes the glass. I let this one go after about 2 weeks. Put maybe 40 plays on it, don’t miss it.

No serious pinhead likes this game. Not sure why. Is it the call outs? The poo? The cheezy poofs? Well, I have to say it was one of the most popular games I ever had. I regret selling it now, but hindsight is 20/20. Anyone that was not a serious pinball player went to it first. Guests would play that game first over any other. This was at a time when I had Twilight Zone, Theatre of Magic, and Centaur II. I think some of the more serious games get intimidating to new players, but South Park had people laughing and coming back over and over. Great multiball, fun to play a casual game, but perfect for parties. Wish I still had it.

If there was one game to take to a desert island, this is it. Can be a bit of a maintenance queen, but still worth it.

Weak sauce. Nice theme, wish it were a harder game to play, not too challenging. Great callouts, mode builds are good, but fall flat once accomplished. Had an early version with the drop target, helped a little, but didn't save it.

Everyone loves this game. I thought it was about as exciting as a History Channel special on bricks. The shots are nice, but you can't see a thing on the play field. Not as much fun as I thought it would be. I know that I will get flak, don't care, didn't and don't miss it.

Great EM! Classic drop target gallery, lots to shoot at. Deep shots require this machine to be high tapped and waxed well. Get a couple good games cookin’ and your are off to the races. See them all the time, typical yellow black glass flaking on all of them, but a great pickup if you can get it for $500 or less

One of the best pins ever made. I should have bought Centaur instead of Centaur II, but I was young and dumb. I had this game for 14 years, making it the longest run I had with one game. I traded it on a Simpsons Pinball Party. I should have skipped that trade. Still wish I had that sinister music and the taunts by the beast. Probably one of the best multiball there was for the 80s.

Ok, so I bought one of these in 2001 and I over paid. Why? Because I paid for it. The best thing it had going for it was the condition. It had, no joke, 83 plays on it when I bought it. It was set up for Deutschmarks and never left. Sat in someone’s basement, under a blanket for 25 years. It was spotless. Perfect glass, no playfield wear, no names scratched in it, there were still string and paper tags hanging off of the inside of the coin mechs indicating that it was set up for DMs. The machine had a 220 transformer, but I took a chance. Bought a 110 transformer for $10 and it fired right up. Like right up. No adjustments, no cleaning, nothing. Couldn’t believe it. Started a couple games and wondered to myself, who wouldn’t play this pinball? It has drop targets, good colors, roll overs and a spinner in the middle like Fireball. Except my spinner seemed to be broken. I looked to see if something was loose aaaaaaaaand yeah, the spinner just sits there. In the way. Rolling like a lazy fart in the middle of the playfield. After about 10 plays, I realized why it had 83 plays and not 84. This game is a turd. I swear I had the nicest one in existence at the time and I wanted my time and money back. It’s almost as bad as Pat Hand

First pin I ever bought. Tilt this machine up high on it’s back legs, high tap the transformers, put two coats of carnauba wax on it and go. A perfect EM that will keep beginners going and is still challenging to the serious pinhead. Great artwork, nice flow, great layout and the loud spinner targets are such a satisfying shot. See one cheap, grab it.

This is the pin I grew up with. An uncle of mine had it in his home since 1979. It was routed for a couple years and then he was given it as a wedding gift by my aunt. I was at their house from 1981-99 no less than once a week. We played it for HOURS. It has, in my mind, the best back glass of the era. The artwork on it and Super Spin is fantastic. The colors and lighting make is just pretty enough to have in the living room with the machine lit up and the room dark. The gameplay has enough challenging shots to make, from the Roto-spinner, to the deep bullseye in the top left. Hard shots, fun shots, lots to do on the playfield, only thing it is missing, is Gottlieb’s ever famous drop targets. I once read an article that it was slated to be the first Gottlieb with all of their major target types. 4 drop targets were prototyped into the playfield parallel with the upper left bullseye, but were pulled to make production easier. I am often surprised how low it is rated, but hey, it has a soft spot in my heart. Heck, we even still have it 40 years later.
