A forever to 10. Super fun, can be very fast. Beautiful Artwork in all aspects. Very mod friendly. 400 bucks in mods takes the game WAY past the premium.

I think Stern missed the mark here. Relied too much on theme and didn’t really integrate enough into the playfield. Cheap toys, lame shark, okay sounds, and Richard Dreyfus’s Callouts are sleep inducing.

Cheesy. Boring. A wasted theme.

Stern launches another game before it is even remotely finished. Code is completely deficient, the rocket does absolutely nothing except make an irritating sound, the upper left flipper (with a bad coil stop already, shocker) shot to the two ramps could be great if they were laid out well. How many times can you listen to the James Bond theme over and over? And the opening video is terrible. Immediately followed by “we don’t have the license yet“ disclaimer. I mean yeah, this game should not have been launched. What a waste of a great theme. I’m sure over the next decade that Stern will update the code, however… That’s not how you launch a product. Pay attention stern. Lastly, the plastic stand ups on the pro are simply sad, what four cent investment held them back from something better? They clearly nickel and dime this machine to death.

Elwin rocks because he is THIS good. Flow, Fun Theme And Fast…FOR SURE. Hey Stern, crappy plastic stand ups and $2.14 you spent on all three speakers. Shame.

Modded, $60 on 3x 150w 8 ohms speakers and $600 in playfield mods (buildings, saucer, kaiju, bridge and all signage) … it soaks the premium in so many ways.

New to my collection, some fun in hobbling together a figure driven topper. Helps the look tremendously. Game play is really fun. Simple to understand, challenging to shoot, satisfying when you hit them and it hooks you when you miss them. Drain challenge is about average. The machine takes bumps and nudges well into the flow. The challenge option is way cool, and Black Dwarf is now my nemesis.

A nice “next iteration“ of the franchise. It is definitely a lane and orbit shooters game, and can be a bit repetitive. You can eventually wind it up through the different modes, but without much variation on how to make it happen. The latest game code update is a plus. Great game, but will take a while (if ever) to stir emotional coin drop like its origin story. Add repetitive boredom to that ESP Level-like speed it takes to activate the Magna Save button (unrealistic forethought is required for the Magna Save feature), all handiwork most likely to add up to your “words of rage”.

Not just a CLASSIC electro mechanical, but the definitively quintessential card game of the era. With fantastic back glass graphics and theme specific layout of the playfield done very well...this machine just delivers GREAT game play. Plays with character in the home or in the bowling alley bars it found a home in, jammed up in the corner by the juke box. A real players machine. With a sweet crack of a free game, it could turn your frown upside down.

Hard to find anyone who hasn’t dropped a half roll of quarters in this Gottlieb Classic and walked away with a lesson and some respect earned and learned.

Just a double spinner monster of a machine. Simple and repetitive? Heck yeah, just the kind that works you good and steady to really consider your shots. Teaches you to capture the ball and make specific choices more than most early EM models.
