A long time ago in an arcade relatively close......

I was a teenager in the 70s, when arcades could be found everywhere. I played pins everywhere I saw them, even into adulthood. But it wasnt until I was in my late 20s that I ever thought about getting one, and I bought my first game, KISS. The seller told me it was a collectors item and that I really shouldn't play it that much. However, it wasn't long before I realized that wasn't going to happen, so I quickly bought a Space Invaders as a decoy. Several years went by before a friend told me about a Terminator 2 for sale at a local sandwich shop. A buddy and I had gotten to know that game pretty well at his local tavern. Well, it was my first dmd pin - multiball, ramps, speech, and I was off and running! From that point on, I assembled the core of my 16 game collection within about 5 years, which includes many "A" list games - Monster Bash, Attack from Mars, Twilight Zone, Scared Stiff, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Theater of Magic, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Simpsons Pinball Party, DE Star Wars, Bram Stokers Dracula, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Terminator 2, Medusa, KISS, Alladins Castle, and Hot Shots. Several others have come and gone over the years, and I expect several more still will. I've been a member of the Detroit Pinball league for about 10 years. I enjoy going to the local (and not so local) shows and meeting people and playing different games. It's been a great ride, one that I don't plan on getting off anytime soon.....
