Owned this game for about a year or so. When I first went to buy it from another pinhead, I tried it out in their garage. Upon starting the game, I chose HHH as my wrestler, and his real theme music started playing. Pretty freakin' cool, it really drew you into the game. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of this whole machine. The music and call-outs were better than I expected, however the lack of code updates destroyed this machine. Actual progression seems pointless, and it seems most of it happens in a confusing manner. It's almost like the rule sheets don't match up with what is going on the playfield. I know how to start matches, and how the rules say they're supposed to progress, but at times it's almost like things happen without any reason as to why. You could just be wrestling a match, then all of a sudden it turns into a tag team or championship belt match. Who knows. I know the theme isn't for everyone, no gripes with that, but it's a shame that Stern didn't give at least one more code update on it. A little extra attention could have went a long way on this title. Still glad to have given it a home in my collection for the time it was here.

For what it is, this is a way underrated game. As a previous owner, it's got a lot to offer if you can get over the theme and that backglass. Nice variety of shots, and loads of fun + varied game modes. Easy for beginners to get involved with and even put up some decent points, but still quite the challenge for those more advance players. I will say, I sometimes tired of hearing 'Dekker' and his jibber-jabber, and Arnie saying 'Come Back Later' every time I'd shoot the left scoop. M-Ball is annoyingly easy to get, as it's lit automatically on ball no. 3. I love the Benedict call-out, "in this world, the bad guys can win". Nice skill shot at the start, reminiscent of the launch in T2. It's got enough going for it to keep your attention and hold interest. Only reason I sold it was to move up to the 'next' level of pinball machine (man cave will only hold one :(
