It is a fun pitch and bat game that is a blast to play with two people. The one downside to the machine is that it only gives you one inning, unless you change the jack to novelty mode where you score x number of runs and it gives you extra innings. It would be preferred if game was designed to give three innings from the start. The animation of the players running around the diamond is a nice touch. It is different from the older games that have a different layout which is more 3-D. The feature of having "infielders" & "outfielders" makes the game more exciting than some other pitch and bats as at times they can really snag the ball adding to the competitiveness of the game.

Overall it is a fantastic game. The player has to work for their points. One feature of the game that people tend to forget is the double flipper. Many balls have gone between the flippers resulting in a lost ball. One of the most satisfying things is hearing the over the top buzzer go off. It is a great machine if you are a Who fan, as it depicts the scene where Tommy plays against Elton John on stage.

The playfield is wide open with very few ways to rack up points. The gameplay is very slow and can become boring quite easily as there are no challenging spots. Overall it is a very basic game.
