Strange game.

If set up easy, it is way too easy to play forever and roll the score. Extra balls are plentiful, there's a luck based one on the bagatelle game in the backbox. Multiball only ever takes a maximum of 3 shots to start; locks are always lit. Lock shots are wide and open except the top one, which is ok to miss because then you'll just be in the upper playfield area. Upper playfield area seems like you can play forever on it without losing. Left outlane kickback and right open gate seems like they're always active and you can never lose the ball.

If set really steep, with no extra balls, hard outlanes and settings, and a tight tilt, it becomes a very wood-chopping type of game. The upper playfield area isn't nearly as easy to play for any length of time when the playfield angle is steep, and so it becomes much less of a safety net. You're basically always trying to lock balls for multiball. Then when you lose multiball, back to shooting your locks!

Theme is really cool, music is pretty cool, definitely a lot of fun to play, but gets old pretty quickly.

(note: I played the EM version)

This is a really cool game. Plays unlike any other em, but plays like an em nonetheless. The game has some really nice shots available, such as a shot up to the top, and the "Big" n "Juicy" fat standup targets for 200 points when lit. Nudging feels great on this table, it's very easy to choose which top lane you want the ball to fall into. I like how you can get a lot of points just from bouncing in the bumpers in the upper left corner, it is just a lot of fun to watch the ball float around up there as your score shoots up. Lower playfield configuration is my favorite type, inlanes with mini flippers. Nudge saves from the middle are frequent, if you get the hang of it. Scoring goes really high without turning over, it's almost impossible to roll it. I don't like gobble holes, but this one isn't too bad, it's usually the player's fault for shooting it.
Art is cool, I love the speech bubbles and jokes, but the ladies on the playfield don't look all that nice to me for some reason. Probably because the ladies are unrealistically thin, it's an unrealistic/cartoonish art style, but the game does look really nice overall.
If you ever see one, play it! Definitely fun to play a few times, and it seems like the playfield has a good depth of challenge as well.

Just an incredible machine. Set up properly(which is hard to do on this game), this machine will blow away anyone who plays it. Super intimidating, some people are genuinely scared to play this machine. Violent theme. "Destroy your enemies! Kill! Kill! Kill! Now you die! Ahaha" Awesome artwork and audio, very high level of difficulty, balanced scoring, fun to watch in tournaments. Fast! This is the greatest, best pinball machine ever made.

Like many modern Sterns, this Data East machine is too easy. Unlike those Sterns, there is no depth or long-term goals. So what do you do? Pull out the center post, change the settings to hard, switch the outlanes to hard! Put those thick tapered yellow rubbers on the posts in front of the ramp! Put blocks under the back legs! (important!) Then this game becomes well balanced, with an awesome soundtrack, theme, artwork, and great action. Not even a Batman fan, but this machine is highly recommended.

Highly underrated. I've never seen the show but wow is this game good. It's all about multiball here and the layout makes for great flow and frantic action. The magnet on the file cabinet was ahead of its time. Flings the ball like Iron Man but it can also hold a ball at low power right in front of the file cabinet so that you have to hit the ball into the cabinet with another ball! Audio is amazing and theme is trippy and awesome to someone like me who hasn't seen the show.

Amazing artwork, feels great to play, shots are very satisfying and the game just has great flow and feel. Love the in/outlane reversal. However, goals are repetitive. Pound the right lock to start multiball and get your double playfield going, ram the spinner. Shouldn't have made bonus multipliers so easy to get.

Great art, theme, sound, appearance. Good action, lots of fun, good balance, pretty challenging with lightning flippers.

For its year, incredible game. However, ease of acquiring multiball and magna saves make it difficult to make it a tournament machine. Also, multiball isn't very tactical. Controlled play is unrewarding due to timed drop targets everywhere. Not a "player's" game, great newbie's game.

Excellent machine. Reminiscent of High Speed. Easy to acquire multiball makes it a great game for beginners and beginners do seem to like this one a lot at my local arcade. Sound effects are awesome, backglass and theme are terrible. Overall I'd like to buy this for a personal collection someday.

One of the best of all time for good reason. Easy to score on for beginners to wail on the castle, good lucrative goals that demand control and skill like multiball madness stacking and castle multiball. Beautiful artwork, color, and theming. Lots of variety and humor in audio, and cool music. Also, awesome ability to turn off the censors.
