I grew up in Revere MA. and spent a lot of time playing pinball machines in Revere Beach arcades. This started around 1969 when I was about 10 years old and would go with my dad when he was in a bowling league. I would go with him and spend the night playing pinball machines while he was bowling. When I got older and was able to go to the beach with friends I really started to love playing pinball and racking up games on some of my favorite older games like Flying Carpet, Gulf Stream or Big Indian. I would then sell the games to someone and go start winning games on another machine till it was time to go home. I remember having a friend that had a pinball machine at home and that made me want one of my own. One day when I was about 42 years old, I was with a friend that I remember saying, he had one in his basement. When I asked about it one day he said, do you want it? I am finishing the basement and need to get rid of it. It wasn't working, but after doing a little cleaning of the points replacing the rubbers and some cleaning I finally had a machine of my own that I could play whenever I wanted. This was a 1974 Gottlieb Top Card wedge head, a great EM machine. Since then I have owned Wild Life, High Hand, Playball, Jungle, and now am fixing a Hot Shot for my oldest son.
