Many many years ago (mid 1970s), I used to play a few pinball machines in an arcade at the University of Calgary. Then, for a few years, I had Black Knight 2000, in nice solid condition, which I loved. But, in a weak moment, I sold it, and just recently decided it was time to get another machine. A friend of mine had this Williams Firepower sitting in a C-Can on his property for the past 15 years. So I bought it and will be soon starting a project to get it up and running. As far as the previous owner remembered, it was in working condition except the right flipper kept burning out the solenoid... and maybe a few burnt out bulbs. The playfield is quite worn and definitely needs help. But everything else mostly looks good, although I haven't yet plugged it in. I figure I should learn a few things first!
I've never worked on a Pin before, so this could be interesting, and so I joined Pinside and hopefully I can gather advice, expertise, ideas, and everything else through all the other Pinball fanatics here! If you see this and want to send me any information or comments, please do!
