Jumpin' Jack's

Williams, 1963

“Found at a thrift store, they wanted well over $1000, but I offered $300 and they accepted. While it powered up, the score motor never would stop spinning and various relays would click on and off. Most mechanics were gummed up. Took several things apart and cleaned up with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Made my own "flex stones" and cleaned up a lot of contacts. New rubbers installed, flattened out a lot of the plastics, bulbs bulbs bulbs. Works pretty good, but tilt doesn't reset when the ball drains. Put in LEDs, went from using +120W of power just sitting there to 55W at idle.”

The Simpsons Pinball Party

Stern, 2003

“Noticed no coin mechs in door. Seller didn't know history. Found token in cabinet when cleaning it up. No batteries in it, so no audit data for number of games on this pin. Popped in a NVRAM chip and now now it keeps settings/audit data. Lots of rubber/coil dust all over the place... typical "pinball dirty" Isopropyl alcohol and waxing, it looks great now. ”
