I was a video game kid. Atari was a part of my youth. I started with arcades in 2009. After discovering I did not enjoy monitor repair, it became less enjoyable. I decided to get my first pin, a NIB Stern Spider man in October 2010 for my 40th birthday. I was hooked from day 1. Now I have 5 in the game room, one in the "shop" (referred to by my wife as the garage). As of Jan 2012, Wizard of Oz is paid for and awaiting completion.
I have been lucky in my pinball travels. I have been to the PHOF in Las Vegas twice and met Tim Arnold, a really great guy for the hobby. My son and I made a launch party for Tron in Dallas and he won a small prize that made him feel like a giant. I also made it to the Pacific Pinball Museum this fall (my avatar picture). This spring will be my first festival, the 2012 Texas Pinball Festival.
A few friends and I have started a fledgling pinball club in Northwest LA, the ArkLaTex Pinball Club. If you are anywhere near and would like to join us to play, trade, or just share our love for pinball, please say hello.
I'm starting a pinball Mecca list of my travels :)

Enjoyed reading your pinball story. You've got an impressive collection already. Glad to see there are a few other people in Louisiana that are pinball enthusiasts.
