This game imo, is an honest to god masterpiece. The sounds, animation, art package, shot layout, rules /code and build are all phenomenal. It is as challenging as it is engaging and as fun as it is maddening. I’ve known that I wanted one of these since it was released and finally picked one up recently. After you get a feel for the shots and dial in a few things this game is a full on RIPPER! I love all the modes and hurry ups really get your heart pumping. I’m also loving that it’s not a multiball heavy gimme game. You really have to, well…play pinball. Trap, lineup your shots and shoot deliberately. Flailing away is simply not an option until you’ve completed the mode, only then can go wild smacking shots in the victory laps while the ball save is running. This game reminds me of Monster Bash and Bram Stokers Dracula in some ways and that is obviously a good thing. If you are a good player and want a game to challenge you whilst being and absolute fun fest. THIS is the game. I’m having a hard time thinking that this will ever leave my possession and I am not a “bolt it to the floor” type of guy. At only 500 in the world I might request to be buried in this thing. I am SHOCKED this isn’t in the top 10.

Got a chance to put some time on this game at Jackbar in Brooklyn recently. To my suprise it shoots great and the layout is super fun. What absolutely kills me about this game is that it truly deserved a revamped art and animation package. AP should have invested some time and money into this before releasing. New playfield art, new backglass art, new animations, better sculpts …the whole thing. Such a shame. Excellent homebrew! But unfortunately falls flat in comparison to the larger manufacturers and even APs own games. I would have been a buyer if they took this game from great homebrew to a full industry competitive professional release.

It’s criminal that this game is so maligned. It’s great. Awesome rules, layout, design. I think people hate on it because A) it’s a wide body and when these are setup poorly they play slow B) It features a large upper playfield and some people just hate uppers with no real reason B) Visibility is not wide open and the gameplay is challenging (I personally like this). Here are some reason why you SHOULD like the game A). The game is DEEP for its era B). The theming is on point and FUN. Awesome that it has a secondary theme and it’s not just flat out “popeye” C). It’s wildly different from most other games. And a great slept on Barry Ousler game! D). The art work is stunning throughout. The fact that entire playfield is a shipping boat is COOL! E) ITS FUN!

Get one, clean it, wax it and set it up properly. Learn the rules master the gameplay and you’ll appreciate it. One of the LAST affordable games from the best era of pinball. Prices won’t last once people catch on.

Pinball is fun so this game is fun. But…the artwork is subpar, the layout is cookie cutter, the sound quality out of the box is tin can. If you love Rush you might like this game just fine. If not, it’ll be an easy pass. Feels like Led Zep mach 2. Less bare but still, unexciting. I almost feel bad for the rock fans buying these cheapo sterns. Ya’ll are being taken advantage of. Play Rush or LZ and then play Jurrasic Park and Desdpool. They feel like games made by entirely different manufacturers. Stern is using these sure sell licenses to make bank. They are not a labor of love. I honestly feel like at this point that Elwin is the only designer allowed a higher BOM and in turn his games are the only guaranteed winners from Stern at the moment.

If ya selling ya spot ya moms a ho. Look, the game is gorgeous and it shoot very well. Let the code come along, it will. Spooky knows that these games will make or break them. They’ve hired more assembly staff, more QC and an additional programmer to handle both games. They read EVERY owners thread post and make adjustments on the assembly line on the FLY to correct issues. They are hunting down bugs and each code update is bringing these games closer to glory. It’s gonna get there and when it does…you’ll regret the day you decided to panic sell because of some verbal doo doo you read on pinside.

Kind of a sterile game. Underwhelming art throughout, lazy DMD animations, recycled audio from other games. I don’t really have fun playing this one.

Updating my review as I’ve spent more time on Halloween recently. The art package is nothing short of stunning. The game I was playing was on location at Jackbar in NYC and the game had zero issues in about 20 plays. This is not a game you can just walk up to and be like “oh I love this” you’ve gotta read the rules, you have to know how to qualify modes and you need to be aware of the inlane lifter sneak attacks. The game is about a stalker and the game fights back! That is a theme integration positive! When describing this game to those who have not played it I tell them that it is like TSPP and BSD had a baby. TSPP in the way that you have to make a series of wood choppy shots to get in mode and get the game rolling and the obvious connection between the upper playfields. BSD in the way that it’s a creepy vibe with some dangerous yet crucial shots ie: the center drops. What Halloween does not have compared to these games is seemless stacking ability. You can stack modes with multi but wouldn’t it be fun if you could start a few modes and have them running simultaneously with a multi running. And wouldn’t the LCD look wild as the animated scenes are triggered and changing as you hit mode shots. Talk about dynamics. Will we see this in future code iterations? Who knows. But as it stands Halloween is a gorgeous game that is packed / stacked and wildly unique. The QC issues are a bit overblown I feel. I’ve owned numerous NIB games by Stern and JJP and 9/10 times there’s some shit I gotta fix. That’s pinball! Want a game you don’t want to tinker with then buy a game with nothing in it. The more stuff in the game the more stuff to tinker with. Isn’t that obvious?

This game is woefully underrated. A typical Borg design with fast punishing play coupled with a great Lyman ruleset. Artwork on playfield, meh. But I quite like the gameplay. I attribute its low standing to it’s difficultly level which is unfortunate. People should play better. Any game seems boring if you can’t get s#it rolling.

I’ve had this for about a week now and…I’m just amazed at how much space Elwin can find in a layout. The paths that ball travels feels very unique on this game. The tail whip shot, left ramp, right ramp, behind the flipper shot and Mechagodzilla shot are all so satisfying to hit. I’m having a lot of fun on this one and my location players are seemingly addicted to it. Also…having the option to change the language to Japanese is RAD. I’ve only played about two games in English. It really is such a cool f’n game and I can’t wait to see future code iterations. Happy camper here all around.

Update: honey moon phase has worn off. Having a lot of cheap drains returned for right ramp and some lighting drains from the pop. I’ve also noticed that with headphones on the callouts audio and music sounds very thin and tin-y while on other games sound incredible with headphones on. I’ve deducted a point from gameplay and sound quality for these reasons. Will be checking in with each code update. I’m sure there will be much more but at this point while I’m playing I’m thinking of things I WISH would happen as opposed to what IS actually happening. I’ll let my location players keep wacking on this one for the time being.

Update 2: This should not be the # 1 game on the top 100. IMDN JP DP are all better games imo

Lyman is the only thing holding this pin together. This is Ritchies magnum opus of cheese. It’s like he really put his heart, soul, wraparound sunglasses and frosted tips into this game. Artwork gives off bigtime flavor town Guy Fieri vibes. This game has more corn in it than a vegetarians s#it.

Absolutely one of the greatest pins of all time. Borg / Lyman is a match made in heaven. Great rules, code and shot layout. Some complain about it being “ugly” but like...this ain’t a Care Bears pin. It’s a pin about flesh eaters so of coarse it’s GRIM. The game just isn’t for the weak of heart looks or skill wise. Gameplay can be brutal but...so can zombies. This game will make you a better player. If one is available, buy it. We’re not getting anymore Lyman pins since he left Stern.

Docked points for Grogu, plastic return ramps and general art package (not “bad” just not a fan of the style) Shoots well, no brainer on location but I’m not sure I’d buy this as a home game because it’s not very deep. That could change with code updates and I’ll adjust my rating then. For now, it’s an ok fun Stern. Pinball newbies will love it and I hope it brings more people into the hobby.

This game was really surprising to me. Initially I was only going to buy for route because we get a lot of kids but then covid hit, so I passed. Few months later I had the chance to spend some time on a pro. This thing rips! It’s exactly the kind of gameplay experience I like. It’s fast, punishing and really rewards a trap and shoot play style. Stands up to DP, IMDN and JP. If the code and rules continue to deepen it’ll be a home run. Update: My route opened back up. Got a pro...it’s a showstopper. There is literally nothing to complain about. Insanely underrated game IMO...and I’ve played em all. It’s a top 10er, no doubt.

The best of the 90’s fan layout BW games by far. Tremendous flow, great rules / code, hilarious callouts / animations. This is the magic of pinball on full display and a true world under glass. That being said... There are limitations of what 90’s classics can offer standing up against modern pins mainly in the realm of code, sound, animations, depth of rules. MM wins on charm but I can see EHOH, being a similarly styled game to MM eventually surpassing it as the goat.

It’s fun to shoot, great flow with some challenging shots, it’s got great rules BUT it’s not Elwins best layout or Yetis best art package. I don’t love the static animation style either, if the display were handled like Deadpool I would have scored it higher. If you love Marvel ( I’m not a fan ) you’ll love this game. It’s great pinball but it’s not the BEST there is.

This game does not get the credit it deserves. It should be in the top 50. Great layout with lightening fast gameplay and awesome callouts. I love the hype 90’s jock jam style music too. Plus It’s haaard, The one more game factor is ever present on this table. One of Gomez best for Bally. I Love that it scores like a basketball game instead of a pin. It’s fantastic for two player and league settings. I’m on my 3rd NBAFB now. It’s a great game...and I’m not even a sports fan.

AFM survives on nostalgia alone. Let’s be honest with ourselves. It simply does not compete with modern pins. Is this game a classic? Yes! Is it a blast to play? Yes? Is it the best fan B/W fan layout? No. Is it a top 5 game? I feel like you’ve got to choose...MM and AFM are basically the same game but MM has more to offer. Also...these remakes don’t feel as good to flip as the originals. That’s a fact.

It’s an impressive build but it lacks charm for me. Manufacturers will likely never make a game like this again as it’s a nightmare to maintain. It’s just too precious feeling for me. Like most JJP games it’s a lot of boutique flash lacking in soul and functionality. The rules and coding are great however and I’m sure it makes a great home game. I’m just not personally interested. Flag away! Haha

It’s ummm...a lot. It’s a big flashy crazy pinball experience. Do I love it though? Not really. Is it one of the wildest most involved pins design wise? Yup. Does it lack charm? Maybe. Do I think it’s a bit overrated? Kinda. I’ll give credit where it’s due, but...I don’t want it, you know? I’m not gonna buy one.

Listen...this game simply does not suit the brand. No one asked for a shimmering glitz bomb with a bloated coke head wheezing around reliving the glory days. And let’s be real...the playfield design? C’mon...ooo guitar headstocks and drum sticks. It’s like a ten year old just heard “rock music” for the first time and made a pin about it. GNR is a grimey LA rock band...this pin ought to smoke cigarettes, have a heroin problem and fuck your girlfriend. Instead...it could very easily be rethemed into a Bay City Rollers pin. You KNOW I’m right about this. Anyway...the lighting is TERRIFIC! If you bought a CE I’m sorry...I hope it doesn’t chip away at the posts...or your bank account. . .

Honestly...this is Elwins third best game and Zombie Yetis least enticing art package. It’s ok but the shot layout is far less inspired than IMDN and JP. I’ve played a bunch of games on AIQ and seen most of what the games had to offer at the current code and it is my assessment that the hype will wear off rather quickly on this one. That being said, if you love superhero’s you’ll probably love this game. I do not love superhero’s. I love pinball. And this just ain’t the best that Stern has to offer. Sorry, not sorry.

Ive played enough games on it to be see most of what the game has to offer and...it doesn’t blow me away. The pro is a bit bare and the premium has some gameplay issues. Overall my gripe with this game is that it’s just not fun. There’s just no wow factor. I really feel like Stern just dropped this in Elwins lap and pushed him into a rush job situation and it shows.

Absolutely incredible game, amazing rule set and top notch coding thanks to the genius of Lyman Sheets. A simple layout but so much fun to shoot. Deep deep deep, I defy you to play complete every objective in a single game. So much to see even after 100’s of plays.

So I finally bought an IMDN prem after only playing the pro a hand full of times. This game is one of THE BEST pins ever made from purely a gameplay perspective. The shot layout is GENIOUS. If you can master dropping the back flippers while cradling the front during multiball you can absolutely CRUSH jackpots. If you don’t learn this technique you’ll be blocking your own shots with the rear flippers. This is the ONLY pin I’ve ever played where it’s absolutely crucial to push yourself to learn this specific flipper technique and I LOVE that. This game has made me a more focused and strategic player and I love THAT. The whole art package is cool. Premium LE is the way to go IMO...the pro lacks a bit of magic due to lack of immersive mechs. I’ll include one negative: I very much dislike the animations and display font. It stinks. The callouts could be better as well. But this game absolutely NAILS all of the most important aspects of pinball in my opinion. The elements that suffer do not detract from the fact that this is GREAT PINBALL.

This game is a masterpiece. An incredibly deep challenging game to sink your teeth into in a home environment. The rules code and layout are second to none. There is so much to do on this pin and most mere mortals will never complete it. THAT is what I want in a pin, something that just keeps giving. THIS is that game.

This game ticks all the boxes for me. Great theme/ rules & code, Nice art package, great call outs and animation. Always something new to see even after hours of playing. Finally got a chance to play a RaM with the most current code. This game is A BLAST! Theme integration is possibly the most most well executed in the history of pinball. It is PACKED with licensed video, hilarious custom call outs and Easter eggs. GREAT music, excellent light show, Unique layout, fast and furious, lots of modes and dimensions. Such a cool game, however game play can be bit frustrating and it on the clunky side if not set up perfectly with all the user suggested adjustments.

I’ve loved this game since it came out but this new code really takes it over the top. This is a top 10 game for me it’s fun, challenging, deep and has last ability in a small collection or otherwise. The graphic design work by Zombi Yeti is sick too! It’s just great pinball.

The game is a blast. Simple enough for a newbie but deep enough for a seasoned pinhead. Great shots, battles and quests are a unique element, disco multi ball and Mechsuit are phenomenal. Playfield artwork by Zombiyeti is gorgeous. Sound design music and call outs are second to none, honestly. There is SO MUCH variety here. Truly one of Sterns best efforts. BUT...the orbit shots can be a bit clunky and ramp entries richoochet and bounce out frequently. This pin absolutely has to be setup perfectly to achieve a fluid smooth play but don’t let that stop you. I am NOT a fan of Marvel or any superhero type themes whatsoever but this game is so much fun I had to buy one.

Update: After owning two DP’s at this point I have to say that this game is a modern pinball masterpiece. It’s nearly perfect and super addictive. It is the most fun and engaging pin money can buy.

TOM is a gorgeous and engaging machine with great flow. Great modes, objectives and gameplay. The one ball wizard mode and video mode are both kinda lame to be honest. Could benefit from a code hack to make the game deeper. Tough to keep trunk running on location and gets old in a small home collection.

Now that the code is complete and I have had some more wacks on it I’ll say this: I like the graphic / sound design, gameplay is fun, Pro is a bit bare, it’s rules are a bit shallow but it was designed that way, reminiscent of Bally WMS DMD era gameplay. Do I wish it were deeper? Yeah. I feel like I’d get bored of it in a small collection and it probably doesn’t earn well on route because of theme (unfortunately) But it’s not a bad game...and Munsters rules.

Absolutely a classic for good reason , it’s a simple game but i love the little ways that you can increase scoring like maxing out the multiplyer before heading into multiball or getting kiss off the skill shot and intentionally draining to shoot for paid. I really think about strategy with this game. You have be very conscious of ball control. If you flip around flagrantly your game will be over in no time. There is simply no room for error and I really dig that. Creature will make you a better player...if you let it. That being said... the main theme song gets on my nerves a bit but... ITS CREATURE!!! Great shots, great layout, great gameplay!

Call me crazy but I just do not like this game. It feels clunky as hell and the shot placement feels insufferably awkward. The raptor pit is one of the rudest features in of pinball as it just rockets your ball straight down the middle into oblivion nearly everytime. The sound package is annoying and just has that low fidelity DE tin can quality. Backglass looks cheap. It’s well themed but I wouldn’t ever consider owning one and I am definitely a fan of Jurassic Park. If we’re talking Michael Crighton related pins I would skip this for Congo any day of the week.

EATPM is a challenging Pin and at times downright frustrating BUT it will make you twice the player when you master it. The rules are shallow but the shots are very satisfying. The 3mil shot is one of the coolest, most intense shots in all of pinball. You feel like a KING when you nail it. This game has an amazing look and layout. Love the light show and the sounds / fallouts are great. The song does grate on you after awhile. I’ve had this game in home and I played it non stop...it just keeps calling you back for more. It never got old to me. I had it on route for awhile and it didn’t do we’ll coin wise...I’ll guess that is due to the difficulty and no ball saves. In short this is DEFINITELY top five system 11. It’s just GREAT PINBALL! If you can find one between $2500-$3000, GET IT and KEEP IT.

I own ONE data easy game and this is it. This is just one of the coolest pins hands down. The art package is awesome (I can’t BELIEVE people complain about the backglass. It’s a blessing that they used the original EC Comics style art as opposed to the HBO style. Playfield design / modes / rules are all A+ My only gripe is with the sounds. They can be very repetitive and obnoxious and the quality of sound is sub par as well. BUT get the sound chip update and pinsound upgrade and your more than golden. Game is great fun for a novice player and pro alike. Great last ability (getting crypt jam is quite difficult and will keep you coming back to accomplish) Game does pretty good on route but can be a pain to upkeep tbh. If you can find one for under $2500 get it. KILLER game for that price point..but I suspect the price will keep climbing

This game is clearly not for everyone but I love it. The deep rule set keeps me coming back to see if I can accomplish more. Not a great game for novice players as rules are hard to understand and lighting modes / getting locks can be challenging. Game is a bit boring until you get it rolling but man...when you do ITS A BLAST. I feel like lower ratings on this game are typically from people who didn’t spend the time to learn the deeper rules and crush this table. Getting a good score is VERY SATISFYING on this table as it is very low scoring. Great for a private collection, does very well routed because of the theme but it is not great for competition because of abnormally long ball times.

Perfect pinball. Great shots, excellent flow, entertaining call outs and dmd animations. Excellent game to route as it’s easy to upkeep and makes consistent coin. Deep enough for a home game in a good players collection. It’s just a classic plain simple. I will say as far as fan layouts games go...MM is better.
