I personally love the theme. Reminiscent of classic 80's war movies (Predator, Rambo, etc.). Play is fast in this game and I wouldn't consider it an easy game. I really like the ball saver feature in the side drains which adds a new level of fairness to the game if you are a good nudger. All pins should have this or MagnaSave imo :). Anyways, rule set is not too complicated but is creative. Keeps me coming back for more as much as my other more expensive pins. Table layout is great. The layered plastics give a lot of depth to the playfield, the pyramid shaped huts on the jet bumpers look awesome. The playfield really shines with proper LED lighting. GI on this game is less than stellar, especially in attract mode (very dark). Although the theme of launching the ball at night (with no initial GI along with the sound of crickets) and then the lights turning on after combat starts is just awesome and totally makes up for dark GI in attract mode. The cricket sounds are great. The music (what little there is) just sucks. Sound effects are so-so. Rocket launcher gimmick is cool but its too easy to obtain rockets and you really don't have to work for them. This makes the ROCKET targets on the middle playfield sorta useless. Overall really fun game. Yes its a cheap pin in a generic cab with cheap plastics, but overall still very fun, good theme, nice art, and worth it for under $1000. Will remain a permanent part of my collection. Its a great machine for modding as well!
