A child of the late 70's/early 80's...

As a child, I grew up in the golden age of pinball, with the "new" SS digital machines hitting in 79/80 - right as I was 8 years old... Gorgar. Firepower. Black Hole. I remember playing all these games at my local pizza joint, usually after a Little League game or practice. At first, the Pac-Man and Donkey Kong machines began to squeeze out the pinball, but then something magical happened - Space Shuttle. I can remember seeing this game for the first time and my jaw dropping. IT HAD THE SPACE SHUTTLE IN IT! And the coolest sounds!! I realize now, it was that moment that I became a lifelong Pinhead. During high school and college, it was SS, Pin*Bot, Whirlwind, Police Force, Taxi - all the classic Sys11 games were new and everywhere between 86-91!!

Being a professional musician, I spend quite a bit of my time in bars/clubs and places that would often have a pinball machine. At least, until about the mid-late 90's, when I realized that there just weren't as many pins around anymore, it was all Street Fighter II and the new generation video games that had taken over! It was at this point that pinball took a bit of a backseat in my life. Eventually, I found Williams:Pinball Hall of Fame collection on PS3, and it re-kindled my love of pinball in the worst possible way. Now that I'm in my 40's, I have a little more financial resources at my disposal, and decided that it was time to treat myself. Within the span of a year, I have added Police Force, and now Taxi - to my home collection. I don't really have room for another one, but if a Whirlwind at the right price ever shows up, I'll have a really hard decision to make!!
