My Pin story ...

For as long as I can remember I loved Pins.

My Dad bought one and we had it at our place for a few years when I was around 7 or 8 years old. All I can remember was that there was a lot of yellow in the game, that’s it and me playing it all the time. :)

I also used to play one at my uncle’s place every time we visited them. All I did there was playing that Pin. It was Joker Poker, an EM Pin from Gottlieb. At the time it must have been a newer machine as i was between 9 and 12 and the game came out in 1978.

With 19 (in 1990) I moved to Perth, Western Australia. It was then when I got back into Pinball with a friend of mine, we played at several locations throughout town and two bugs each basically got us through the whole day. Day because, we went to the Hotels (Bar/Nightclub) right when they opened and stayed there until they shut at night. There were ocasions where they had to kick us out, because we haven’t finished playing our game! (Star Trek Next Gen) We played Pinball daily for at least 4 years.

Now with 42 (2013) and after having been diagnosed with an extremely rare auto immune illness, I have decided to finally buy my first Pin. Wow, what a feeling. It turned out to be Spiderman (2007). I am really happy with the choice, although I paid way too much for it, but it will stay in my collection for good, as it has been my first Pin ever and I just love Spiderman J

And as most of you have probably experienced your self’s, I’m after more. I really hope to get the following titles in the next few years to add to my collection. If I win in Lotto, should I start playing, I would go and buy all the Pins I can get for sure. No question asked. I do consider myself a Pin addict for sure. Hey, what’s wrong with that. J

To every Pinhead out there, happy flipping and to the next high score!

Cheers

MGO
