Great game, in my opinion the ramps are better than premium version, and I can't stand the sdtm draings from the magnetic sling shots of the premium. For once...a pro is better than the premium.

I really like this game. I think it gets a bad wrap because it is unfortunately attributed to the 6803 class. The cabinet art work is horrible and no fancy light shows I. The back box, but Bally midday put it where it really counts in this game and that is on the playfield! Game plays great and has unique rocket fire to knock down inline drops! I really like the theme and sound effects. Getting the pop bumpers to fire off by collecting three bombs then hitting the big ramp with the toilet bowl helicopter drain is a cliche attributed to the 1980s. Great game, highly under rated.

Just became the proud owner of one of these games. Played one in mint condition at pinball at the zoo in 2018 and loved it. Took almost another year to aquire one under $5000. If you appreciate the early Dawn of multi ball talking pinballs,; whereas, the entire goal is to achieve multi ball, then Bally fatham is right there with firepower! I have firepower and for the longest time couldn't appreciate the increased cost to fathom, but if you collect early solid state pins as your hobby, having a fathom is required in your collection. Great game and even better shots, unique outlanes....Fathom!

There are better gottlieb Em pins. Like vulcan or fire queen. Not much to do and theme is eh. Good to part out for other better gottlieb early solid states with more appeal like hulk....

This is a classic solid state game. Everything coincides with the theme: voice, background sound, cabinet, backglass. Good shots, only wish there was a ramp added just to the right of the black hole entry shot. Actually, I purchased a vivak playfield protector for one of my black holes and installed a ramp glued to the protector and I have a switch mounted to it that is wired to the left ball lock for crazy ramp points. With the ramp it's a 10, but without it it's still an amazing piece of pinball history.

Good game, plays fast if set up correctly, I enjoy this game. Too many people just following what everyone else says. There are much worse pinballs out there.

I love this game, they are getting hard to find in good condition, just picked up two of them, both non working, but amazing backglass. I think the pinside value for this machine is way low. the artwork on this machine combined with colors used is amazing.

Now...I own firepower, xenon, black hole....and there is just something great about this machines sounds.

Yes, it's a widebody and it doesn't have ramps or fancy moving plastic creatures to hit with your ball, but it has a classic pinball sound like none other than Atari machines can give. Williams system 6 sounds are okay, I believe a little rigid, stern mpu100 the sounds are dorky and seem stifled (like they were concerned with perception or didn't spend the money on quality sound, Bally the sounds are okay, gottlieb system 80 are okay as well.

All in all, because late 1970s and early 80s is my wheel house, Atari pinball sounds just capture the period best; perhaps, its because Atari 2600 was out and those sounds are very similar. Playing Superman brings back childhood memories of a time more simple where pinball was defined more by excellence in art and fluidity of play. Superman has all of these.

Any rate, superman is a great game!
Artwork = 10 just amazing layout and color choice
sounds =10 pinnacle of early beeps, bops and Lazer beam
Playability = 9.5
Last ability = 9.5 it's just a great classic early solid state, I find if you set the back legs all the way up on 3" levelers and have the fronts all the way down, the game plays rather well. Not lightning fast, but that's not what this game is about. I enjoy being able to take a few seconds between shots and admire the beautiful artwork admist a game. Just a great game.

Great game, multiple deep kick out holes, drop Target banks, spinner, roll overs, classic stern sounds, great theme a real blast to play.

Wanted to like this game because of upper playfield, but just can't get past no multiball, and the theme in my opinion is horrible. Must of been a weird mushroom trip which was responsible for the artwork. Any other theme and I'm positive this deck would be 8+ rating for sure. I love the early 80s SS games, for the most part they are consuming the majority of my collection, but this game won't earn a spot in my stable. I'd rather have a redundant second black hole than a farfalla. Same reason I don't have a haunted house in my collection....game wasn't designed for multiball...I'm not interested. Not to say....I don't have non multiball ss in the collection meteor. Just need something more to work for on a deck. Gameplay is good though, flows well.

Great game, love the speech in this game. Really fun to earn multiball. Love it when you destroy a ship... "ship destroyed". Keep coming back and playing this one over and over again.

Great game, lots of fun, two super spinners, off set flipper shot ramp, multi ball, kickout hole, drop targets, and three bumper thumpers...= Classic game in my book. Great shots, challenging with great audio. A classic game I'm glad is in my collection. This game is way underrated. Much better than mousing around and many other titles rated higher.

Great game, has rule sets similar to monster bash, but doesn't have a moving Dracula or a Frankenstein to hit. All in all, it's a great players game regardless of the theme. Interactive display games (hitting the flippers as fast as you can to beat opponent). Still after all the weeks I've been playing it, I still haven't unearthed all the display games. What I like most, you collect wrestlers the same way as monster bash, repetitively doing something, but there are side games when sinking either of the two drain holes. Not finished yet, then you have the upper playfield! Great game, which like back to the future and others before it will see a huge jump in value in the coming years. Although, this game is much better than back to the future, which is all about theme...
