I bought it without ever playing it....just to keep the surprise alive. I read the comments below, love the movie, it is the only machine made here in the Low Countries and read the rocky road history of the DP company...enough good reasons to take the plunge.

Barry and the team make something unique in the world of pinball. It is a full modern machine with a lot of the feel of the later Bally Williams era. I plays smooth with an enormous choice of shots. The many callouts and movie clips, the relaxed music, the upper playfield, the bowling alley, the nice little details all over.......too much to mention. It is not an "Elwin" style machine, that I also love btw, it is a category on its own and so it is something else in a line up of my machines that keeps the hobby refreshing. Imho pure pinball art.

I just realized it is a unique and fantastic time to live in for pinheads...all the modern tech like leds, lcd screens, fast chips, solid state electronics making possible the deep rules, great lightshows and visuals, updatable software etc. Everything we couldn't even dream of 30-40 years ago. That combined with many young companies doing the best they can to compete with the big boys. More choice and variety than ever before. You just need the cash and space.....:)

Anyway....if you love pinball and you get the chance then don't hesitate to try or buy it.

At first I was not so interested in this machine as the theme "Godzilla" is not something I particularly like or seek.
Still I was interested as it got such rave reviews and I found a Pro version on location nearby. After playing a few games I realized it was not an artificial hype but a fact that this game is on a unique level. How is it possible after around 70 years of pinball flipper design that someone can come up with something this unique and different to all previous pinball machines? I know technique etc. has changed tremendous but still. The gameplay is like nothing else.....you are almost dancing when playing it.....the balls move around in unseen ways. The ramps are so different....this pinball is a piece of art that will be hard to surpass. It is a standard to which future pins will be held.
After a few days of owning and playing it I still don't get the rules and for now I am not trying to....just playing and enjoying.....although the rules and objectives look very deep and I may never get it.
Also the playfield is decorated so well that for me no mods are necessary....I normally like them but in this case stock is already beautiful and complete. One point for improvement is some more variation in the generic music and for this kind of money Stern could put in higher quality loudspeakers.....these are sadly not in level with a top game like this.
What more is there to say? Highly recommended for any pinball enthusiast.

I have added this game recently to our home collection and I can just say WOOOW. First of all big big compliments to CGC for the upgrade of this classic and the build quality...SUPER! This top game is now just that bit more fun and stunning. Light, sound, display, topper, vibrant colors....it is all there. Me and the family just cannot stop playing it as the gameplay and theme have it all. I never dreamed I would unbox a new and upgraded Monster Bash in my life so it was a big moment. It is a lot of money but it is a fully interactive artwork that you can play with and have fun with for many year to come....unique.
It is not as challenging/frustrating as AFM can be but the overal package is so great that competitive gameplay is always there. Like AFM this will never leave the collection.

Maybe it is not targeted at the hardcore purist, the pinsnobs or the never-satisfied but "just" at the people who like pinball and its group entertainment....... I love it and so does the wife, family and friends. The theme is great, so are the video clips of the series, the old school innocent humor, the characters etc. Many hours of good clean fun. The ramps are beautiful and so is the artwork. Playing it is relatively easy for more experienced players but not too easy that it is boring. There is plenty to do and learn. Yes the rules are not very deep like some recent games but is that always needed to simply have pinball fun? Do all games need to be too deep to finish? Be video games with endless number of levels? The rules of poker are not deep at all but still fun... Of course I hope that Stern keeps working on the code and will continue to add fun and improve where possible. Pinball is relaxing to the mind, exiting, frustrating, laughing-out-loud, competing, learning skills and enjoying a light and sound show........Munsters is all that. Enjoy it while you can. ....Before I forget, the mini-playfield is a great addition that requires skill! It is beautifully made! Everybody that played loved it.

Update: Ooooh I forgot to mention the ZAP button below the play field. It adds a nice stress touch to the game. Also nice to cancel early super jackpots as you want to accumulate them.....the blooooobooo sound when you cancel it is fenomenal.

About half a year onwards and a few code updates.....this game continues to grow on me.....it is pure pinball as it should be. In a few weeks the topper should arrive and make it even more stunning. What a joy to look at and to play......underrated by opinionated people, admired by experienced people. One day it will become a highly sought after collectible.

The TOPPER has arrived.... woooow how beautiful it is and it adds a new dimension to this already great game. The raven comes alive in the clock.....for me this is pinball art. Better than the Mona Lisa.....imho.

I just tried the Midnight Madness...so play this game at midnight and you will be in for a big surprise....it is wonderful and fully Munsters themed. Man this pinball really grows on you...playing a few game in an arcade will give you not a correct impression. It is surely a top 10 pinball all the way.

Update.....one and half years into the game. I still go back to it and enjoy it more and more. It is beautiful and fun and visitors love playing it. Sound and vision enjoyment. Still hope the code gets expended by Stern one day.....have little hope....in that case So Be It.....I will love it anyhow.

Update on update..... finally the new game code update.....woooow how nice. All sorts of nice new extras that make the game even better than it already was.
We continue to love this game and appreciate it more day by day.

Bought it back then for the kids and myself..... The theme, artwork and call out are fantastic. The gameplay however is a bit too repetative and gets boring after a few games. We had a lot of family fun and now good memories so it was good. Now the kids have moved out....so have Bart and Homer.

This is an EM lay-out with modern technique. You gotta be a pinhead to appreciate it and love it. The theme and realisation can only be done by someone with deep love for the game and historical understanding. I bought 2 almost brand new as in the arcades and bars they were never played on much......no ramps or toys etc. There is a lot of humor in it (from the era when humor was just humor and not filtered by every idiot with an adverse opinion...). Great to play with other pinball enthousiasts who can appreciate the fine art and history of the game...an aquired taste so to say.

The travel through time theme including matching music is fantastic. This could be the base for a great modern pin. I love theartwork, it is stunning. Technicalit was probably too early to make the most of the thema. As a pinhead you got to love the mechanical chimes that are playing at times......history. Loved it and now it moved on in time.........

What is there to say about this pin that has not been said before. It is the ultimate together with AFM. Challenging, unique theme, lots of humor, good built quality, the gumball machine and powerball. Will it ever have an equal in the future? Hard to beat. Sold it after 15 years playing to make room for fresh machines. Every pinhead should have it for a number of years. Don’t forget the song by Golden Earring that is the baasis for the soundtrack....nice!! Would I buy a remake? probably not....I played it so much that after all the years I still can playback the music, call outs and gameplay in my head....

This is one of the greats of its era. The 2 “living” heads and speech are uniques and funny. The roadtrip through the USA is fasinating and hard to bring to an end. There is a lot of good humor in it and nice to play with the whole family. This pin is from the day when pinball ruled the waves again. Solid built quality. Sold it after 15 years to make space.

Owned it, sold it, regret it..... I sold it due to lack of space....and now miss it. Theme, music, speech, artwork are fantastic and this takes you into the game. OK it is not super deep in rules but the shots are nice. Great ramp and “organ” shot. You keep playing it and it is a fantastic pin to play with a mix of beginners and pros. One of the most underrated pins in my opinion. Baby come back home!

It was fun back then when it was all we had. It is a typical one in a dozen machine of its era. Colorful and good for a good time but not for a long time.

Always was a fan of this machine. Great, fun theme. Unique gameplay and lay-out. I was looking for a good one for many years but most for sale were worn out old dogs or over-priced renovated old dogs. These machines were played to pieces in the arcades and bars back then. My prayers were heard and new ones were made.....yeeeessssss....! So now it is here at home and we love playing it. This almost 25 year !!! old game has not aged.....it is a true classic that gets better with age like the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin (wooow a Led Zeppelin pin....yeahhh dream on)...if you know what I mean. It is beautiful, funny, fast, love and hate in one, rewarding and frustrating. Great call outs and the best lay-out ever. Get it while they are still out there now......life is too short to have never owned an AFM....that is if you love pinball of course.

Not a fan of the band Iron Maiden and their music. So not a fan of the overall theme and the war related artwork (LE). Not a fan of national flags in artwork (LE) so bought the Premium Edition. OK that was that on complaints dept.. Why I bought it then? I played it a few times in a local bar and I was sold. It is really a fantastic and unique pinball. I play pinball now for about 45 years, owned several machines but this is up there with the very best. Fun, fast flow, difficult, frustrating in a nice way a pinball should be....it is all there. There are so many things that are unique to this pinball that it is just really fresh...and that is a great achievement in a business that has come up with numerous products. My wife and daughter also love it and so it is one to stay here for many years to come. If you love pinball you cannot go wrong with this one.....even if you don’t like the theme or the music and that says it all.

Update April 2019. Just bought the Egypt topper by Stern.... “only” costs Euro 500 over here ;)....anyway it is a great addition. If you want to spend the cash go for it as it makes the machine look finished. You only live once.

Update Nov 2021. This machine keeps me going and going. The lay-out remains unique. Difficult to do it better than this one. Never gets boring.
