“At Ludlow Rest area (Westbound) on the Mass Pike. The tilts were super loose but the outlanes are tight. I had a fantastic game, using nudges but no slides or bang backs, but I'm still flabbergasted about the leading 4 billion - I did get to the Final Jackpot or whatever the heck it's called but it still seems like a suspiciously excessive score. That said, I came by it honestly, so I'll claim it. I couldn't figure out how to put a space into my usual "W W" high score and there was no asterisk so I used "WXW" - not sure if this was a Stern "feature" of the time.”
“At Uncle Sam's Lanes in Troy NY. Machine was in pretty good shape but had a slight lean to the left (not leveled) which I took advantage of (got two bang backs on this game), normal tilts though.”
“This may not seem that impressive, but it was a dirty ill-tuned machine in a bowling alley, so there was a certain satisfaction involved in figuring out how to unpack it for the grand champion.”
