Not a bad pinball for sure but overated. This gets the best rank in my collection, it's also the one that cost me the most and I barely play it... Not a keeper I guess.

Blackout is a very straight forward game, the oldest in my small collection so I am wondering if old games are always like that.
Things to do are easy to get, you never feel cheated by anything.
The blackout hole is quite hard to get to but the other targets and features are easy to reach.
I need to play it more but for now I don't understand why it's so well rated compared to others pinballs I have that are well below in the pinside top and that feel a lot more appealing to me.

This is a great game !
Rules are easy to get and still not to master.
I do have the Lauren bell opto problem on mine that makes it unplayable after a few games but still, how fun is this pinball.
Fast, fun and ... I don't know what's the right word... fair !
You don't make low scores when you begin to master it as you don't make enormous best scores with luck.
A really good pinball that deserves more love.

Shaq Attaq is one the first pinballs I've owned and while i'd love to like it I don't.
Rules are not easy to get. I've found myself doing great and not got rewarded... to the opposite without understanding why got a nice score with poor playing.
Apart from the light show (and attract mode) the overall style is poor.
The upper playfield feels weak and not interesting.
Scores seems unbalanced and unrelated to skill shots.
I understand that I've missed something along the way but one thing is for sure, that pinball needs a lot of love and perseverance to be loved and i don't have it.

A shame that pinball has a quite bad backglass and poor sound... everything else is near perfection, the gameplay is immersive and addictive. I wasn't expecting to like it but now it's my new favorite in my collection. Look at other members in depth reviews for more details.

Out of the 3 machines I own Jokerz is the one I play the most.
I love a lot of things about it.. I mean a lot ! The backglass, the rules, the feel.
But... either mine is poorly tuned or I am a really bad player because it's so frustrating.
The ramps are too difficult to get to and as soon as you loose control of the ball the two outlanes drains your balls quickly.

Multiball is also fun to get to but really hard to control to get the jackpot.

Other then that it's a keeper right now.
